Lucas sets CB market

The Panthers and Ken Lucas agree on deal with 15 million dollar bonus. Yikes.
Reported By Jay Glazer.

What are with these average players getting big money? Didn't they also draft Chris Gamble who played well?

Ken Lucas is a hell of a cornerback..he had a great year last year.

If that's true....that is ridiculous!:shakeno:

15 million signing bonus??? Jesus. thats pretty high for a CB. Dudes good but he couldn't even carry Surtain's jock.

that is crazy... they got manning and gamble... Lucas probably benefited from trufant..

so carolina got him and wahle...

anyway... its another CB off the market going to a team that we arent talking about trading surtain to... i spose that is good news.

This could make Pat's asking price sound not-as-ludicrous and could help a trade along.

This is ridiculous- Jennings got a $12 mil bonus, FERGUSON- JASON FERGUSON- got a $9 mil bonus, and Lucas- who is a GOOD corner- not GREAT- GOOD- gets a $15 mil bonus? This is a joke. OBSURD money being thrown around.

cornerback is one of the highest paid position in the league what did you expect? the problem i see with this **** now though is it'll make surtains agent try to get more money now that the market rose...

Panthers | Lucas Agrees to Terms on Six-Year Deal - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 3 Mar 2005 13:10:07 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with CB Ken Lucas (Seahawks) on a contract. KFFL has learned Lucas has agreed to a six-year deal with the team. Complete financial details have yet to be disclosed, but the deal is believed to average $8 million per year over the first two years. The deal is also believed to have a split bonus and will total $13.5 to $14 million over those two years in bonus money.

WOW, big day for Carolina... didn't see that coming... another CB down... good news for us on Pat and teams who need a CB will have to start ponying up...

For a minute I thought you meant Ray Lucas.
:roflmao:
