The Jets finally have a psychological edge over the Patriots.

They lost by a humiliating six touchdowns to New England in December, but after pummeling Tom Brady and confusing Bill Belichick one month later in the playoffs, they pulled the curtain away from the Wizards of Foxborough.

Rex Ryan thoroughly outcoached Belichick. Mark Sanchez completely outplayed Brady.
The season is really all about one thing for the Jets: They must find a way to beat out the Patriots to finish first in the AFC East and get at least one home playoff game. In each of the last two years, the Jets were a wild-card team and needed to win three road playoff games to get to the Super Bowl.

They won only two and lost each year in the AFC title game.

The Jets and Patriots don't play until Oct. 9 in Foxborough. That's 60 days from now and nine months after the Jets beat them in the playoffs. They meet again on Nov. 13 in East Rutherford.

"Wow, that 45-3, that was a real embarrassment," Darrelle Revis said Tuesday. "I think they gave us a bad taste in our mouths by embarrassing us and we gave them a bad taste in their mouth when we beat them when it counted in the playoffs. I think we got the upper side on them last year. We won two games and they won one on us. They're probably a little more bitter."

Every move each team makes is with the other team in mind, although you wonder why Belichick signed Chad Ochocinco because he can't get open against Revis.
