Still plenty of good LB prospects left.

Foster
Cunningham
McMillan

If we get a solid sounding LB somewhere in the midrounds I'll be happy. A lot of good LB's are drafted there. A lot of bad ones are drafted in the first round too.

Taco to the 'boys and the Browns trade back into the round taking the Packers spot.

I think the criticism has a lot to do with drafting a guy that might not even start while we have a few starter spots open at other positions. Not to mention at least one other starter spot who's injury history is more concerning than Wake's.

Who cares if he starts right away if he turns into a Dwight Freeney type pass rusher. He is going to be on the field a lot in his rookie year as a situational pass rusher and, god forbid, if Wake gets hurt, he will be the only player left on their roster with any pure pass rush talent.

How can you say Harris is a mediocre football player? He's never played a down in the NFL and was clearly a very effective edge rusher in college.

If Miami had the chance to get a 3rd rd pick by trading back, I would've taken that deal. I wonder if we'll ever know the specifics of the 2 offers Grier said they received.

We rarely got offenses into 3rd own situations last year b/c we couldn't stop the run or get the off the field and gave up so many 1st downs on 1st and 2nd down. So how the **** does a a first rd pick do us any good when spent on a 3rd down pass specialist? Save your breath. It doesn't, awful pick. Especially with all the starter talent that was still on the board.

I'm with you. A situational pass rusher when we're hardly in that situation.

Would've preferred Foster - we won't have a shot at that kind of LB prospect again for a while....

Harris will be a double digit sack player for us by year 2 or 3

Harris has a pass rush arsenal. He can bend, spin, swim and club/cut. Can't teach all that. His run defense is an entirely different story and is what has me worried. But fortunately he has double digit sack potential with all those moves. Dwight Freeneyesq, if you ask me.

9 spots in the first for a late 3rd and 7th? Can't say I agree. Especially how that first round played out.

Well we were at 22 so have to think the offers were better but will never know. I just would have liked the extra pick considering the status of the roster and the difference in players to move down. I mean was there really that big of a difference in players to move down some?

Not disappointed we passed on Foster. I was excited to see a guy ranked that high at LB still available for our pick. Then when I found out who it was I wouldn't have been able to stand if they had picked him. For one I am absolutely sick of drafting medical cases highly. We have so little depth as an organization still we can't afford to not have an impact from a first rounder. A rookie contract goes really quick when a player spends the first couple years injured. I don't care what the story was with the attitude problems are. Guys who have their heads on straight don't get kicked out of the combine.

Just another guy that can't get to (Insert QB name here) in 1.5 seconds before he hits (Insert WR/TE/RB name here) on a slant route because we can't cover anyone.

People need to remember we're not drafting players based on who takes the field first in September of 2017. A 1st round pick is about who do you think is going to have the best overall impact on your team over the course of the next five years, not who fills a need today.

I know he wasn't a draft pick but Cam Wake didn't start his first season with us. Frankly I don't even know why they signed him considering we had Jason Taylor and Joey Porter.

Luckily only the Pats and Ravens figured that out against us last year. I'm honestly wondering about safety for the first 8 games so they don't take those simply slants to the house because our safeties besides Jones are backup in college level.
