A guy they traded up to get and who has had a year to be groomed.

What does that change? He is a rookie qb starting his first season.

Granted they expected alot from him based on their pick… but its his first game let alone in the pouring rain where field conditions were trash.

Clearly Tua needs to play better.

But i'm okay if he's not at his best game 1

I'm not ignoring anything, and believe it can be corrected, but I expect any good, non-rookie QB to be aware of the game situations. Good ones get rid of the ball in those situations. All I'm saying is it needs to be corrected immediately. That crap WILL cost us games if it continues, and it isn't about Tua. It's about my team's QB position. To say that it's OK because it's the first game of the season is just defensive rationalization, IMO.
