I keep reading on this site how many here want this guy as our next HC. What is so special about him? He had one great year in Cleveland in 2007 as an offensive coordinator which could just be do to Derek Anderson becoming superman for one year. Aside from that, he has predominantly been a Tight Ends Coach for the Chargers coaching one of the most talented Tight Ends the game has ever seen. What he has done in Carolina has been remarkable but let's not forget they also invested the first overall pick in Cam Newton. Do we really want to take a gamble on this guy as our next head coach? He has essentially had 2 good years of offense in 2007 and 2011 (Unless I am missing something, and if I am, please explain..) To me, this kinda smells like Cam Cameron all over again

I have been wondering the same thing myself, he reminds me of cam cameron, give me mike zimmer, billick, marty schott, or phiblin over him any day

I like his mindset. He's the anti-Sparano. He's not content nursing a ten point lead. He wants to go out there and try to score sixty points a game. He has no problem putting a team away, and that is what I want in a coach.

I disagree with the comparison to Cameron bro. He has been a up and coming coach. Now is he ready to be a HC, bring him in and talk to him. Just because you talked to him last year doesn't mean anything. First question I would ask him is what have you learned and experienced since our last meeting? I want some one that has the drive and fire to succeed, not just after a title for there job and 8 million dollars.

Interview Chud now !!!! This is the one guy i'm afraid we'll miss out on. He's the reason i was never worried about missing out on Fisher. But we have to bring him in !

He had a shot as an offensive coordinator and the Browns BLEW UP. They fired Crennel however, and Mangini wanted to hire his own guy, Brian Daboll. Then in his next stint he gets the panthers to go from the bottom to top 10 in offense.

In his two years as a coordinator he inherited terrible offenses, making them into very good, extremely balanced ones. Derek Anderson made the probowl, and Cam Newton,( the guy everyone said wasn't pro QB material ) shattered all rookie passing records.

He's been an assisstant Head Coach before, and is TE specialist. Believe the hype, He's quickly on the rise and somebody better snatch him up quick, this offseason.

Many dont know he was the Miami Hurricanes Tight End coach and then also Offensive Coordinator when they had Bubba Franks,Jeremey Shockey, and Kellen Winslow Jr. and won the national title.

Did you see his creativity in Carolina this year??

Also, most people didn't think Cam Newton would be able to come in right away and blow up the league. I think Chud deserves a lot of credit for helping develop him. Carolina really made it easy for Newton early in the year with mirroring routes and with their creative, yet simplified passing concepts.

Carolina had 16 Touchdowns last year. This year with Chud and Newton they scored 48.

Very Impressive
