RUN-STOP %: Praise Martin-Oguikwe better than Hassan Reddick

Such praise for Praise, got me excited for this dude! I remember before the draft Grier was talking about the same thing- looking at those unorthodox players that don't really fit the mold for ends. Players that are smaller yet with good burst and hands.

Exactly right. Both Charles Harris and Praise Martin-Oguike are the result of changing that paradigm.

It's an interesting switch, we'll see how it pans out.

Thanks for the breakdown. So maybe he isn't fit to be a D-Line guy. From what you have listed he would be a pass rush specialist who line up at LB. Getting someone with his power as a fifth rusher who you could move around could create matchup problems for an O-Line. Do you think he could fit a James Harrison role down in Miami?

I like how he plays his responsibility and stays square to the LOS.

He's a DL for us. I don't think he's a specialist, he's just a backup. I think the coaches may have it set up so that Wake, Suh, Phillips, and Branch are all out there for some series, then it'll be Harris, Taylor, Godchaux, and Hayes for other series. And if there's an injury somewhere, then Martin-Oguike could be subbed into the Harris-Taylor-Godcheaux-Hayes line, in place of Harris or Hayes.

Granted, Nick Williams could end up beating out Vincent Taylor or Davon Godchaux for that role.
