I'm an insider on ESPN, and I have access to the practice notes for some of the big name players at the senior bowl. I will be happy to post them here especially the ones that people have been talking about. I will start with the ones I think will go earliest on draft day....... so here it goes.

One minor issue though, I can't copy and paste, so I will have to type everything on the site. I'll send a link but you won't be able to see it because you have to pay. This is real info though.

Carnell "Cadillac" Williams Age: 24 School: Auburn No. 24 Pos. RB

Height: 5'11" -- Adequate but not good height.
Weight: 212 -- Has added nearly 10lbs, but still undersized.
Speed: 4.51 in the 40-yard dash. Adequate-to-good top-end speed.
Intelligence: No trouble picking up versatile offensive role.
Toughness: Is one of the toughest players pound for pound in the draft.
Strength/Flex: Tremendous strength for a smaller back. Flexibilty is improved.
Durability: Answered questions by staying healthy in final two seasons.
Character: A High-character person and hard worker. Good Leader.
Production: Productive SEC Back. Gained, 3811 career yards.

Monday 1/24 Practice notes:

Williams drew rave reviews from his coach, Jon Gruden. More then anything, Gruden - and scouts alike -- are just impressed with him participating in this game. In doing so he has shown great competitiveness and willingness to showcase his skills. Today, was a light day of practice, so it didn't test Williams blocking skills much. However, his hands were outstanding in pass-catching drills and he is clearly the best package in terms of pure runner this game has to offer. His vision, cutting ability, and second-level burst were what impressed us most on day 1.

Stay tuned for more player evalutations soon.........

And the projected value of the draftees commences the annual reshuffling.

Roddy White Age: 23 School: UAB No. 10 Pos. WR

Height:6-1 -- Adeqaute Height.
Weight:201 -- Well-built. Adequate but not great overall size.
Speed:4.45 in the 40-yard dash. Above average top-end speed.
Intellegence:Not a real issue.
Toughness:Has played through pain. Showes toughness as route runner.
Strength/Flex:Has adequate strength and abouve average flexibility.
Durability:Never had a major injury at collegiate level.
character: No character issues to our knowledge.
Poduction: Had 65 receptions with 13TDs. Averaged 20.6 yards per catch.

01/24/05 Notes:

It's obviously tough to evaluate a player on one day of practice, especially without full pads. However, while White clearly has explosive speed and is a vertical threat in the passing game, he did not impress us with his route running. he looks a lot more comfortable on the outside and he seems to round off a lot of his short-to-intermediate routes. With full pads on and in more intense drills on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday it will be interesting to see if White responds better.

More coming later........

Bryant McFadden Age:23 School: Florida St. No. 8 Pos. DB

Height: 5-11 -- Adequate but not good height.
Weight: 191 -- Adequate but not good bulk.
Speed: 4.55 in the 40-yard dash. top-end speed is below Average.
Intelligence: Is an intelligent player that picks things up quickly.
Toughness: Not afraid to challenge for ball in traffic or fill versus the run.
Strength/Flex: Is aggressive but lacks strength. Has good flexibility.
Durability: Lower back (2000) and shoulder (2003) injuries are concerns.
Character: No real character issues. Matured as a senior.
Production: Finished season with one interception and 11 passes broken up.

01/24/05 Notes:

McFadden isn't the most physical cover corner and has never been a great playmaker at the position, but he showed today why he's a potential starting cornerback in the NFL. McFadden is smooth, instintive and quick. He gets good jumps on the ball and shows closing burst when coming forward. he doesn't have the explosive speed but he does a good job of pretecting himself by using good recognition skills and his smooth hips to open up and turn quicker the most cornerbacks do.

Again, more soon..... and I'll update day to day.
