Sleepers

The only drawback is he is Ted Ginn's cousin. Pretty ironic if we cut Ginn and draft him.
29. WR
Greg Mathews 6'2½"210lbs.
Mathews played as a true freshman at Michigan in 2006. He had 35 catches in 2008, despite the top two quarterbacks in Ann Arbor not completing 50 percent of their passes (165 of 337). He also returns punts. His cousin, Ted Ginn Jr., plays for the Dolphins.

30. OG/C Thomas Austin 6'3.5"310lbs.
Austin has been playing on the offensive line since he was a freshman and is a good overall football player, who has the athleticism to play in space and the strength to take care of business in a phone booth. He has good size at 6' 4" and 310 pounds. Versatility will help this Tiger's stock, as Austin could play guard or center at the next level without missing a beat.

I think you guys need to tighten up your definition of a sleeper.

Most of these guys are on everybody's lists.

What is your definition of a sleeper? Because if most of these guys are sleepers, I'm batman.

we will not know of any sleepers until they play in the pros

31. OLB Matt Marcorelle 6'2"250lbs.
Overview
Highly-decorated junior who is a rare FCS-level junior to be included in our database because there is a very real possibility he might declare early for the 2009 NFL draft. Matt has started since his true freshman season in 2005, and could really be a rising star to watch leading into the draft.
Strengths
Great burst towards the football or the ballcarrier. Strong and physical. Should be playing IA ball where he could be tested each week.
Weaknesses
A bit tightly wound in both the physical and mental sense. A bit undisciplined.

32. ILB/OLB Travis Goethel 6'3"237lbs.
One of the most consistent performers for Dennis Erickson and the Sun Devils the past three seasons, Travis Goethel, has started every single game the last two seasons at strong side linebacker.
Goethel has tallied 171 tackles (103 solo), 12 tackles for loss, 12 pass break ups, five sacks, and five interceptions, while starting 29 of his 38 games on campus.
This past spring, Goethel moved inside with Nixon and Shelly Lyons on the outside. Geothel showed the speed to get to the sideline and possesses the power to stop the run inside the tackles.

I mentioned this guy a while back after watching a few Fresno games. He looks sick out there. Plays like a power forward jumping for passes. Found this on him too. "West squad coach Marty Schottenheimer specifically mentioned Fresno State WR Seyi Ajirotutu as a prospect that stood out at East-West Shrine Game practices this week. Schottenheimer isn't the only one talking up Ajirotutu, who led the Bulldogs in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns in 2009. "He reminds me a lot of Vincent Jackson or Malcom Floyd in San Diego," Schottenheimer said. "He is a big kid and can run like the wind. I’ve been very impressed by him." - KCChiefs.co"

Thanks for the info:up:

Comes from the same school as Don Carey, a CB that we could have picked up late in last years draft.
33. S
Ronald “Terrell” Whitehead 6'2"200lbs.
If you are looking for pure production in a prospect Whitehead is the ideal player as a two-time All-American and two-time first team All-MEAC selection heading into his senior year. He tallied 83 tackles, four picks, and 11 breakups as a junior and six picks and four breakups as a sophomore. He shows good ball skills and the ability to play in the box and support the run with good range and speed.

34. HB/TE/WR James Konz 6'3"228lbs.
Not alot of info on this guy. Played 3yrs. as a LB. Had an ankle injury his Junior year that prompted a medical redshirt. When he came back was moved to HB/TE to create match up problems for defenses. He has that LB mentality so you know he is going to battle for the ball anytime he goes up for the catch. But the most interesting thing is the fact that he runs a 4.38/40. I think he would be a perfect fit for the unconventional offense we run. He would be a legitimate threat in passing situation out of the wildcat. This guy is worth a look in the later rds. or as an UDFA.
*maybe CK or someone who has access to film can chime on this player?
Jameson Konz - Kent St. (HT: 6'3" | WT: 227)
Projection: 7th Round-UDFA

Positives:
-Game-changing speed from the TE position, has been projected as high as a 4.40- 40
-Versatility, can line up at different positions on the offensive side of the ball
-Could contribute as a special teams player
-Major sleeper, has developed as a pro prospect
-Has the potential for good workout numbers, has good strength and an excellent vertical leap
Negatives:
-Inexperienced as a tight end
-Raw, huge project regardless of position
-Is more of a finesse player, has little blocking experience
-Pro position is a bit up in the air, had played DE, OLB, WR, TE and H-back in college
-Missed 11 games of the 2008 season with an ankle injury

36. WR Pat Simmonds 6'5"227lbs.
Simonds has the ideal physical tools (6’5 3/8, 227) and uses his body well to shield defenders. He also has great hands and runs good routes. His speed does need work, reportedly 4.57, and will have to become more consistent as a blocker. His junior season was very impressive with 65 catches for 1,136 yards and 9 touchdowns. If he can drop .10 off his 40 time he could be a real sleeper to go in the mid rounds because of his physical tools and production alone. Simonds has a 36-inch vertical, 488 squat, and is the most physically ready player they have had for the NFL.

STATS: 62 total tackles, 36 solo stops, 1/2 tackle for loss, 4 yards lost, 2 interceptions, 10 interception return yards, 2 forced fumbles, 3 quarterback hurries, 11 games played.
