Ted Larsen intends to bring veteran leadership to O-line

He looked like he did not want to be interviewed by Omar. Talked about being consistent as an O-Line player being most important. Says trust in what the guy next to you is going to do - and do it right- is what matters most for the whole O-Line to be successful. He brings experience (played in playoffs up to the NFC championship) and hopes to influence the young guys by being that Veteran idea.

Another Omar Kelly interview. Click at your own risk.

But this one did shed some light on things a tad. Larsen mentioned that he had only played 1 season at OL in college. He is constantly looking to improve himself. He thinks chemistry is overrated.

He is only saying that because he wants a starting spot anywhere on the inside.

Chemistry is extremely important on the OL, especially in a ZBS and getting a feel for an individual's blocking tendencies. It's a bigger concern than what is being let on with Pouncey skipping the preseason and being limited in practice for the starting five to get in tune.

Chemistry is hyper important specifically on the OL, thats an off base comment.

Regardless, he was a very underrating signing and exactly the type of player I was banging the table for all offseason. Still see people on here hating on him - he's gonna be the best guard on the team next season more than likely.

Articles like these are the bane of journalism. Just fluff and doesn't really tell you anything important.

If a veteran OL-man can't get acclimated to the other OL-Men within 1 game or less, the front office and scouting dept should be fired.

Chemistry is important but so is everything else.

Has Larsen been a full time starter or just part time?

It defintely takes more than "one game or less" ... chemistry doesn't just happen instantly
