FSU and Miami fans are already talking crap to each other about being in the same conference. But, look at it this way. These 2 teams play each other guaranteed every single year. Lets say Miami joins, and they end up in another side of a 2 division ACC. Or the ACC decides that you don't have to play every team each year to open up more non-conference match-ups. This eliminates the guarenteed matchup every single season. If one team loses an unexpected game or has an off year, the rivalry means squat. It could be between Miami or FSU against another team. They could go 2 or 3 seasons hypothetically without ever stepping onto the same field. Everyone is talking about the Canes and Noles while some real good football players in Va. Tech, Maryland, NC State, and Virginia are just sitting back, soking it all up and getting ready to rain all over everyone's parade. Seniors graduate, freshman grow up, and teams change. The same team that dominated one year can fall right out of the rankings a couple short seasons later. Will this hinder or intensify the rivalry?
