Michael Cunningham, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the contract signed by Miami Dolphins rookie OT Vernon Carey was a five-year, $8.6 million deal. Carey, the team's first-round draft choice, will earn $6.3 million in total salary in his first year.

One of those numbers is wrong. There's no way an 8.6 mil, 5 year deal has 6.3 of it in the first year...

Maybe that 6.3 is counting the entire SB?
