Will Saban improve draft because of Ricky?

Well I'll be happy if we can trade down for any reason and aquire additional picks. The Rb idea was just one reason why it might happen, but other players falling unexpectedly might make teams want to jump up too.

Only way we go RB in the first round is if Reggie Bush falls to 16.Other than that, no way we go RB.

Well this thread is mostly NOT should we draft a RB. It's do you think Saban will make other teams believe we might and in the process gain an extra pick or two.

Running back may not have been a position of much concern to Saban, but that might have changed after Ricky's suspension. If DeAngelo Williams (sp?) grades out higher that any other player availiable at 16, then he presents good value and it would be hard not to take him.

I like the idea of playing the draft game now with the running back variable. Teams below us in need of a runningback may think a little harder about trading up to our position knowing that with Ricky gone their coveted runningback may be taken by us.
