I've been addicted to WQAM the last few days............ but just a few moments ago the guys on the late night/early morning broadcast reported that there's word out of Wisconsin that Green Bay is open to dealing Ahman Green.

To quote the immortal C&C Music Factory - "Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm" hahaha ........seriously though, this guy is a stud and the Pack have been wanting to give Najeh his chance not to mention he's cheaper. Only drawback, Ahman used to have a severe fumbling problem due to his diagnosed hyperactive sweating problem. They changed around the way he held the football and the arm pads he wore, but running in the south Flordia sun and humidity might be a little troublesome.........or perhaps not.

Just thought I'd share.

I say no thanks.. why do they want to trade him that is the question?

There is a reason.... Is it that he want's a boatload of money, or is it that they want a high draft pick or is it his fumbling or do they want to dump his high salary, or maybe he is damaged goods?

Also they don't like Miami, they have screwed Miami before when they shafted Miami out of Matt Hasselbeck. They have proven themselves unreliable and not trustworthy. If given half a chance they will do it again.

I think there is bad blood between the two front office of green bay and Miami.
I for one wouldn't want this deal to go down at all.

I say F*** green bay let them keep their own messy problems!

Now that being said he can run the football without question. But they have their reasons...

Ahman Green ? Hes a real load.I like it but not at the expense of giving up a load of picks and players.I think we just need a backup ;Mack,Stewart or Candidate(sp) and give our existing backups a chance to play.

The worst thing we can do now is to panic (Are you listning Rick S)?.and give away more picks unneccesarily. We dont want our next coach to have a bare cupboard.

its funny how you guys wouldnt take green...i suppose you wouldnt take preist either? or LT? or portis? you pay the big bucks for the big players i dont see why salary (as long as its not out of hand) is even an issue here

I'd take Green in a heartbeat. One of the top 3 runners in football even with the fumble problem.

Thing is, by the very nature of my above statement, he'd cost too much.

Obviously, we'd love to have those guys. But a trade for someone like Green would be cost-prohibitive. We've already given up a second rounder in the 2005 draft. If we acquired Green, we'd likely surrender the first and third and probably a conditional pick in the 2006 draft too. We just can't give up that much right now, not when we need to start looking at the long-term replacements for guys like Zach Thomas and Tim Bowens.

I would love to get Greene as to me he is th 3rd most productive back in the league but I wouldn't like the price and we would definitely only be giving ourselves 1 maybe 2 years to win and that's not logical.I say we try and get a vikes running back in here preferably Smith which would be our franchise back.I know Spielman won't trade our first next year for anything since our second is gone.If all else this is a list to some great backs coming in the draft next year:
1. Frank Gore-Mia
2.Darren Sproles-KSU
3.Carnell (cadillac) Williams-Auburn
4.Mo Clarett
5.Cedric Benson-Texas

Is anyone else interested to see what Minor, Henry and Russell can do before giving up OGUN/draft picks etc?

I AM!! I think Minor is capable of being a really good back! Besides now we finally have the money available to sign Ogun and get a new contract for Chambers!! Sure i think we should still pick up a safety net like Mack or someone just to fill a RB spot but i still think Minor, Henry and Morris should be given a chance.

:missmeth:

We just get shafted by RW and you people want to draft the biggest d1ckhead in college, Maurice Clarett??? This guy will be a B-U-S-T!!

Frank Gore has constant injury problems.
Cedric Benson is overhyped...and a Ricky follower
