d-day said:somebody needs to be dropped if zo is added - and i dont think the heat are going to just drop wang or person for nothing - something is brewing - i luv zo - ive been a heat fan ever since rory and seikley - i was there in the stands when the heat were in the playoffs playing mj and the bulls - i still have my heat playoff clicker - xcon it seems you know a little about b-ball and you are a heat fan and thats way cool but if zo and woods get in the rotation you can forgat about d.j. manning the post - dwyane will go back to the 1 and e.j. will go back to the 2 - either way the heat is improved with zo - he is not just a physically imposing post player - but psychologically as well - and for us old school heat fans - watch out zo is back
X-Con said:Why would we forget about DJ, and who said anything about him "manning te post"? DJ, Wade, EJ, Haslem, & Shaq will be the starting line-up unless a better SF is acquired.
Of course, everybody knows about the Donyell Marshall rumors...but I read on RealGM about a potential deal for Eric Williams.
Yeh there is an argument for Anderson...against the t-macs of the world. I just love watchin Laettner and Shaq playing together.X-Con said:Laettner's hurt right now, and I'm not too sure he'd be as much of a factor with Zo in there & Allen back. I don't think it would be good to send Anderson to the IL, because he's a very, very important defender for us & every now and then he has his offensive bursts and becomes multi-dimensional.
Birdman said:Why would we want another Shandon Anderson?, Better than person I guess.

The only reason Eric williams stats look better is because he started some of the year.X-Con said:You have got to be kidding me. While Williams is no Shawn Marion, he is a good player who should give you 10-12 points and excellent defense as a starter. The same cannot be said about Shandon, who is a defensive specialist who sometimes provides energy offensively. Eric Williams is a very solid role player, where as Anderson is one-dimensional most of the time.
Birdman said:Williams is another Shandon Anderson in my opinion, but he would contribute more than Person so bring em in.
X-Con said:Is your opinion based on career statistics, or actually watching both Anderson & Williams play? Anderson is not a bad player, but he doesn't bring as much to the table as Williams. Eric Williams is a good starter in a line-up that includes guys like Wade, Shaq, EJ, & Haslem. He's a good scorer and a very sound defender. On a team whose biggest flaw is a starting caliber SF who plays good defense, the addition would be big.
The fact of the matter is...
Wade/EJ/EW/U-Don/Shaq > DJ/Wade/EJ/U-Don/Shaq
Damon Jones is a hell of a player off the bench, but as a starter he can be awful at times. If his shot is off, he's below average. As much as I like DJ, he's a piss poor defender and he forces up too many triples when he's having an off night. DJ was supposed to give Wade some freedom, but it's evident that Wade played better when he was a full-time PG.
And you have to be joking with that BPG average. They're small forwards, man.

Birdman said:If you think Eric williams is a good scorer you need to watch more basketball.
Birdman said:Its either offense with Dj, or Defense with Keyon, it takes him 22 seconds to set the offense.
X-Con said:Since when did a good scorer need to average 20+ ppg? Actually, I think you should watch more basketball. People are becoming spoiled by the overly talented players who can put up 20+ ppg. Oh, and I guess Derek Fisher was never a scorer either, huh? Check his stats...
Williams has a nice inside drive and he is a good scorer. He's not a #1 or #2 option, so obviously he's not as much of a priority, thus the reason he's not gonna put up 15+ PPG. :rolleyes2
