I dont think we need a backup qb cause we should have never gotten rid of sage. Especially cause Daunte might not be 100% at the beginning of the season. Sage had the potential to be a starter with a little experience and he is a great backup, brought us back twice last season. And now that we dont have him i still dont think we need a backup,Cleo Lemon is fine at 2nd string IMO, we barely know anything about his skills so I say we give the kid a chance to prove himself, if anything...we can always let him go and look for someone else, and we still have Brock Berlin over in NFLE, and I dont know too much about him but from what I have heard I think he would be fine at 3rd string, give him a little NFL experience...whats your opinons on all this?

According to the coach he should be ready for the season opener everyone else says he will not be ready and will miss 4 to 6 games

 It wasn't our decision to let Sage go, Sage was an UFA and left on his own...

NO. We need a good backup. We should REEEAAALLY sign GUS back (at a cheaper rate of course). Sage has already signed with the Texans. Cleo Lemon is NOT gonna start for this team. We DEFINATELY need another QB.

based on what? as you said we don't know anything about him, that works both ways. We dont know how s-- he could be too..

A: Sage was a FA, it was not our choice.
B: You say Cleo Lemon is a fine #2, but we don't know anything about his skills????? CARE TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE:confused:
C: Brock Berlin could be a 3rd string, do you really want him as a 2nd string???

Sage is in Houston now, fellow fin fan. We need a backup. Expect Gus or other vet

Sage could not beat out Fiedler, Feeley or Frerotte. Nuff said.

I think those consecutive starts got to Frerotte's head, but if he will accept a cut, I definitely want him in as a backup.

Tommy Maddox.
He worked under Mike Mularkey.
Gus wants money, which we won't give to him.

Jamie Martin would be the best choice if Gus goes to Denver or the Rams.
