Dolphins | Y. Bell re-signed

I think we should cut Bell for the sole reason that he was drafted by Wanny!

j/k

Bell definately helped (along with the rest of the secondary) cover for the fact that the phins couldn't get any pressure from the LB's.

Hence why I think LB in the draft is a good possibility.

It seems to me that you guys have far more faith in Bell than Saban who only put him under a 1 year deal.

He's an exclusive rights free agent. He wasn't a free agent. Meaning take the one year deal or you don't play football. It's more restrictive then the RFA tag even. Remember Bell's only put in 2 full seasons (his injury year doesn't apply). So next year he's an RFA.

And next year he'll be far more expensive if he happens to be as good as people think. If Saban had confidence in that, surely he would lock him up for multiple years to take advatnge of his currently low asking price. No?

No. why guarantee ANY money you don't have to. Let him play for this incredibly low price this year.....then when he's a restricted fa next year, you make the decision on how to tender him......if he's that good, slap him with the 1st rnd tender and feel good that you have him for another year at a still cheap 1.3 million OR you will be fairly compensated if he gets an over-inflated offer from another team.

He does have a lot of potential, but potential has failed before, so why pay him more than you have to for now.
