The magnitude of this team's dysfunctionality is absurd. From the owners wanting to draft Qb Lamar Jackson and getting overruled to the Coach wanting a different DC and getting shut down. I mean who controls the team for god sake ?

I didn't like the Gase hire for the simple fact that he had no head coaching experience but I warmed up to it. And then he had no help. His OC and DC had none neither. There i knew this wont be good. The inexperience was on display game after game. And the arrogance and ****iness. How do you trade Ajayi, the only player who brings hope and excitement to the team since Dan Marino ! How do you not resign Juice ? The catch and release program has ruined the team. A young player complained about playing time and you cut him, weeks later you end in the dumpster looking for street FA to fill his position. Are you insane ?

I don’t know about you but I think the “Dolphins Plan” has failed so we need a new one.

My Dolphins’ Plan is very easy:

Here goes.

1-Hire Darren Rizzi. Been around, knows the players and most importantly will not need “his players’.

2-Hire Todd Bowles as DC. He is a good man and he also knows team and players well.

3- this is a good team that just needs better coaching and a player here and there. I will start from the trenches;

With this current team, you could add 4 good players through the draft or FA and turn things around. On offense add a goog OG and OC and voila !!On defense, get a good bookend Corner and a good DE…and we’re talking CHAMPIONSHIPS!

HANG ‘N THERE FINFANS THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER ! FINS UP!

So with your plan, not saying your wrong or even that I oppose to it, what do you do about the QB position?

I got a better plan.

1. Get Urban Meyer!
2. Trade up to #1 overall with Arizona!

No need, I heard that if Gasy gets the Arizona job he wasnts to trade Rosen and draft his QB with their first pick. We just need to take Rosen off his hands.

You lost me at Ajayi was the first player to bring excitement since Marino lolololol and then you plan made me laugh even more. You realize that's the same horseshit plan they have been running for years of mediocrity right?!? We are not a few players away, we have no qb worth a damn. We have tons of money in old non productive players. A rebuild is needed. Strip it down and stockpile ammo for a complete overhaul. Stock picks and money and tank for a year for great draft pick spot. First and only plan is find a franchise qb

Yeah, does anyone think Ajayi will ever be a workhorse back again? Hindsight is 20/20 but I think getting out of that short shelf life bad attitude player wasn’t a bad thing. Jarvis wanted too much money but I’ll tell you this much other than attitude Danny Amendola has nothing on Landry.

No offense but this is a horrible plan. Rizzi and Bowles for gods sake? Why don’t we just do a former coach reunion and get Campbell for TE and Philbin for o-coord? Maybe Arnspargers grandson for d-coord?

Just stop with the Dolphins recycling!! It’s time to start fresh 100%.

And here’s another part of the plan. DRAFT A QB IN THE FIRST ROUND! Whether it’s 2019 or 2020 depends on the strings that can be pulled and the ammo and availability.

Keep in mind FOR THE PAST 35 YEARS SINCE DAN MARINO WAS DRAFTED, THE MIAMI DOLPHINS HAVE DRAFTED A QB ONE TIME IN THE FIRST ROUND.

Simply unbelievable.

Rizzi could turn out to be terrific, but I think the team needs to go outside the organization. Obviously, the team is stuck in neutral and a new voice with a different philosophy is needed. I also get the impression that Ross wants to go big, maybe with one of the Harbaugh brothers. Otherwise, he might have stuck with Gase for at least one more season.

This is a rebuild for sure and I hope that Ross recognizes that. With whoever they hire, the first year figures to be either a stopgap at quarterback or a rookie. So contending would be a surprise. If the team goes stopgap year one, that means most likely a rookie starting year two. Maybe the team starts to contend in the third year, but a four or five win season in the first two is the likely expectation. Building both lines should be the priority in year one and two as well. That's a lot of work to do, but can be done if the organization hits on the majority of their picks.
