JK CK
Maybe not.
No I am.
PS: seriously -- doesn't it concern you just a li'l that this kid is a 1 season wonder -- and the "wonder" was against less than stellar Ds?
Add to that the 'Bama game and I don't see a dude ready to mix it up against pro level Ds.
Sure he's lots of fun. And I think his "game" has a lot of peeps on a sugar high -- especially those who crave a high fructose QB fix.
I just think he's very high risk on a number of levels...
But yea. Exciting. And yea potentially oodles of fun (sugar). But...
It's been literally 3 months. I think I'm a little bit beyond being dazzled and confused and on some sort of sugar high. I've seen every single snap of Oklahoma's offense in 2018. Have you?
Every quarterback that has ever been taken high is "high risk" because the position inherently comes with it a bust factor. Once it's clear that the QB doesn't have elite potential, his career tends to go down the tubes quickly, and then you've wasted both the asset it took to get him and the time you spent grooming him.
Yes, I'm comfortable with the guy. And you should take it as a given that every potential angle of criticism you can conceive, and many that perhaps you wouldn't think of, are things I have already considered and weighed (two or three months ago), and ultimately believe to either be invalid or significantly countered by his strengths.
He's an elite prospect at the position.
