By far, my biggest gripe with Ryan Tannehill was his horrendous pocket presence. He had absolutely no idea how to step up/move around in the pocket..it was insanely frustrating to watch this every.single.week
Unfortunately, the only QB worse than RT was Chad Henne, who looked like a statue. We’ve had horrendous QB play in that regard. I’d like to see a QB extend a play, make a DL miss and find the open man deep.

Some QBs have it, some don’t. Does anyone have any idea on Rosen’s pocket presence? I know his OL was historically bad (I read worst in the league last year) with not much talent at the skill positions so that certainly doesn’t help, but anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks

It's much better than Tannehill's. He moves well enough in the pocket and he seems to sense pressure fairly well, but he is not very athletic at all and he won't be able to run away from anyone.

He’s not a statue back there - but he’s at best above average and has been known to make poor decisions when fighting for ljfe

That's the one area where I think he clearly has an advantage over Tannehill.

Can someone comment on his arm strength? He doesn't seem to have the arm talent/velocity/zip that you would like. Also, Is it me or does he seem to float his balls (there's a joke in there somewhere)?

He can hum it bro, Im not worried about his arm strength.

I agree, he just magically was able to be athletic and outrun NFL linebackers and DBs on that one play. Every other time he has the foot speed and agility of Dan Marino.

I’m not sure why I need to say it but I think that’s by far an exception and not the rule. But I do think he has a better feel for taking what is given him in terms of his legs than Ryan ever has. Why that never developed with Ryan with time and game reps I will never know. It’s a largely natural progression thing. I mean the percentages on long term starter QBs who don’t develop it are basically nil.
