Is Dalton Risner the missing piece to Miami's offensive line?

If we don’t have better players on our squad then these two street free agents then we in trouble.

Wynn, Driscoll, Jones, Liam better get it done inside this year

Barring a trade, isn't everyone a "street free agent" at this point?

I mean you are looking at guys who haven't signed anywhere, or last minute cuts. Do you realistically expect some big time difference maker signing?

That's my biggest concern. Inside pressure, or preventing it, is so important to a quarterback like Tua, whose game is built on timing. He's not often going off script and, honestly, that's not where Tua is at his best.

Got to keep bodies out of his face and vision.

The guard position could play a big role in how far Miami goes this season.

Let's do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

It's interesting.

If Miami is in fact looking to upgrade or get better at Guard..... it's interesting considering they had quite a few options of day 1 starters that would appear to be upgrades at RG at the very least in the draft.

Could have fixed the position for years.

But they chose not to.

If Miami is in fact looking to upgrade the Guard position, they have no one to blame but themselves.

Unless their intention is to continue with oft injured options and FA for 1 to 2 year bandaids, then I am not sure what their actual plan is.

If they truly believe in Eichenberg and are just looking for depth. Cool, I get it whether I agree or not. But if they are intending on upgrading G through FA, then I would highly question it with what's left.

But, I don't get paid the big bucks to make those decisions. I just get to be an armchair GM and either get to say " I Told you so" or graciously admit I was wrong and eat crow.

Yes!!! I finally can edit my posts. Yeehaw

Yup, agreed. IOL, imo, is more critical to this specific offenses success. Atleast with Tua at QB.

I would prefer to have a stacked IOL, and weaker T then the other way around.

Assuming stacked everywhere is not an option.

I know Many if not all would disagree. But I feel a healthy Thuney and Creed Humphrey would be more beneficial to this scheme and QB( moreso Tua) then a healthy Armstead and Penei Sewell.

It's a really good argument. Look how things changed when Williams got hurt. Miami felt that more than Armstead's injury.

100% agreed.

I know there are 2 sides thar have been debating the IOL, and the pass protection etc.

But it's telling, that outside of replacing Armstead, there has been no real debate or worry over our tackle play.

Guys like Lamm and Jackson were almost ran out of town. Yet no one really complained about their play last year.

Wasn't until IOL started getting decimated that our offense suffered. Coincidentally, our tackles were rather healthy during our offensive struggles.
