i did some research, went all the way back to 1966 and the dolphins have never had a 1,000 yard rusher and a 1,000 yard receiver in the same season. I think we're probably the only team in the NFL to have gone 40 years without having both of these. isn't that amazing? the closest we have ever come is in 1971, when Czonka ran for 1051 yards and Warfield had 996 yards receiving.

I do predict we can break that drought this year. you guys think we can have a 1,000 yard receiver and a 1,000 yard back this year?

Yeah I think we will hopefully. I say Ronnie has about 1,150-1,200 yrds and Chambers has a bit over 1,000. Also I think Ricky might get around 800 yrds.

With Chambers and Ricky/Ronnie, I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility.

I see Chambers getting 1200-1300 yards, with Ronnie getting nearly 1200 and Ricky between 800-900. :D

It all depends on the O line I suppose. If they play like that have the past 3 weeks definitely not.

i think that this record will continue. ricky and ronnie are going to be both taking hand offs pretty evenly

Ronnie is going to have a 4 game lead :shakeno:

Wat if ronnie did that byhimself. That be cool.I think chambers will get 1,000 and ronnie and ricky will get 1,000

ricky and ronnie will probably end up rusing like 600 each or something.... and chambers will catch 800 or something...

i say this because our offense is completely inept, if you havent noticed

I agree in the future.

However right now, I believe Ricky will get more rushing yards where as Ronnie will get more receivng yards.

I will say RICKY with about 800 yards rushing and Boston breaks out with an 1100 yard receiving year.

I also don't see it happening this year. I think Booker will get another 1000+ yard season, but Ricky and Ronnie should split up the 1600-1700 yards rushing close enough to even to keep them both away from 1000 yard years.

i agree, except there is the possibility one of the RBs starts to "pull away" from the other one and might get more carries. For instance, say the OL gets beat on every play, so Ricky becomes ineffectual. If Ronnie is as good at catching dump-offs in the flat as everyone says he is, he might see more playing time, to include hand-offs.

On the WR side - i still see Chambers leading the team in yardage this year, although i think we'd be lucky if he hit 1,000 yards.

but, if it ever was possible, now is the time. it can only go uphill from here!
