I am totally on record with Jackson's take toward Wallace. Such a mistake to can him.

I was so pissed with him after Week 17. However, cutting him creates another need. He is an exceptional talent. The economics of cutting him this year is dumb. Just a silly idea to release him this year.

Finally, Joe Philbin must…for once…find ways to build relationships with players that have an edge. He cannot keep canning guys that look at him cross-eyed. Learn to coach, Joe. Building positive relations with some players that might have an attitude is one of them.

Look I'm with ya man. Joe does need to adjust to some things. These are grown men and they are going to show emotion sometimes and Joe has to adjust. With that being said, Wallace quit on his team. His teammates, brothers, family. What kind if example will that set by keeping him around. I like Wallace and I get the part of releasing him causes another need but I don't see how this can get better with Wallace still on this team. I wish it wouldn't have happened and he was on the team in 2015 just like normal. But he quit. I really hate this situation but it is what it is. He is for himself. I also think he keeps Tannehill in much more tight attitude instead of just playing. He is turning into the Diva type receiver. Honestly I use Free agency for the oline and I draft K White at 14 and go defense for the remainder of the draft.

not for nuttin' but.. Danny Shelton/NT Washington is a MAN, fully growed.. and we might wanna think about making a move up to get him..

Hey Hayden. Why don't you put together a post breaking down our roster and the big needs going into free agency and the draft. Agree or disagree I miss your weekly posts.

I just get this sick feeling that if he sticks around we're going to get that bad feeling again next year. Let's say that they decide to keep him, what probability would you give to this happening again next year when things get tough? I would say very high considering it actually happened other times before it boiled over in the last game. I believe I read somewhere that some of his teammates are growing tired of him complaining as well.

sure sounds like billy turner is going into offseason training a starter...i love they they mentioned the punch and the physicality...something we need a dose of...and the move athlete upgrade too

yes sir

Maybe we trade him to New Orleans. i hear they have a new crack personal guy working there :chuckle:

The thing about Wallace is we don't know all the internals here.
We only know the externals which are bad.

I am not quite certain they definitely want him out(unless there is something out there that is just really bad).
The one thing that would make Wallace an absolute no go is if he is undercutting Tannehill.

So Hickey is making it very public that he, the staff and the org are exceptionally displeased with, Wallace's, behavior without getting into specifics.

This hard line is precisely the stance I would take if I wanted Wallace to break and come back.
The days of Wallace getting the kind of money that Jeff Ireland gave him are over. Especially if he is now run out of Miami after being shown the door in Pitt.

So Wallace's best chance of making a payday are here in Miami.
So Hickey essentiallly is telling him, Mike you can get your act together and come into the fold or we burn you and you will be making 6 million somewhere else. Choice is yours.

Good Move getting rid of Wallace, one of the few Dudes on this "Team" that actually cares about Winning. What did that last game against the Jets mean? Nothing. Dude has passion, oh it will be easy to replace that 10 TD's not too mention the 5 more he would have had if him and Tannehill could get on the same page. Fins can't afford to give away playmakers. Get rid of Joe Philbin instead.

That's pretty spot on trojanma and hopefully the way Hickey handles it.

The thing that's frustrating for me is we had similiar concerns after last season with Mike's effort and Mike by all accounts came in a changed player and then went on to catch 10 TD passes with a few being great catches.
He's a frickin diva at heart i guess and a me first guy. The question is can our staff handle him another year. They have not showed that ability in the past with other "special needs" guys . Maybe Hickey can do it but Joe's never been able to.
