Cleo Lemonjello (Lim-ahn-JAH-lo) needs to start next week. He's our future. Give a basic game plan and let us to get on with it. The guy can play and he is gonna burn the league down so just like when Marino took over for Wood-Strock, Lemonjello is gonna begin a new era. - By the way I do know that people are gonna try and take my head off for comparing Lemonjello to Marino, but none the less that is part of the joy of being on a board like this!

I think Lemon could turn out to be a very good QB, but he definitely needs at least 4-5 weeks of time learning our system before we can tell him, " Alright Lemon, you're going to start tomorrow. Go get em."

That would be completely unfair to Lemon. He would be lost out there. Even with a limited playbook.

In all fairness to Cleo he is probably at least 4 weeks out to even think of playing. He needs to get used to the players on the team, and the play book is just not a all night study. Realistically probably 6 weeks to be fair to him.

I agree but he does need atleast 4 weeks to be ready and thats with a simple play book simple hand offs and easy slants and maybe 1 or 2 huge bomb plays but to the rest of you he can also run with pwer so we might have a silent Michael Vick woudnt that be nice huh.

The way things are going it seem more than plausable - and 4 to 5 weeks - Lemonjello is our guy and needs to be ready tommorrow if need be!

I'd say he needs at least an entire training camp before we tell him he's starting.

Hey I agree in some ways but some players do adapt very fast maybe cleo can do this with a simple play book I'm not happy with gus but mostly I'm not happy with the receivers for our number 1 guy with a fat payroll for 5 years should be dropping balls left and right like he did last nite.

has he even seen the play book yet ??

Hey, if he can just learn 38% of the playbook and execute, he will be a step ahead of Gussy:goof:

Lemon is a loser.

based on what?

Lemon wouldn't be ready yet anyway. In 5-6 weeks, he'll probably be comfortable running a simplified playbook if need be.

Just remember, with the kind of athlete he is, improvisation could be a big part of his arsenal. He's got good feet, and that will certainly come in handy when the pocket collapses.

I totally disagree. It is too early to call him a loser. What i saw in the pre-season games with in San Diego I liked. Give him a chance!

I totally agree.. Many called Brady another Mich. loser when drafted by the Pats..
