The world is yours
There are a few major factors that caused a loss today. The run D was bad, the free first down for Dallas on defensive holding by Jamar Taylor after a sack by Vernon was an absolute backbreaker, the Tannehill pick 6 was Fiedler-esque, giving upa touchdown on 2 consecutive passing plays after the Cowboys had 2nd and 27 is horrendous, and I think anyone would agree that using a linebacker to cover Dez Bryant is never a good idea... With all of that being said, IMO there is one absolutely staggering stat line that matters the most in this game.
Lamar Miller : 7 carries 44 yards... What a ****ing joke.
From the very first play of the game Miller was gashing the Cowboys D, getting away from giving him the ball was inexplicable, it was inexcusable, and it ended up costing us the game. Not running the ball allowed Dallas to dominate the time of possession, and this horizontal passing game that takes the place of Miller runs is just ineffective and worthless.
This is such rudimentary stuff that I can't even believe this is what the issue is. I firmly believe that if Miller had 20-25 carries we would have won this game.
