#Dolphins OC Bill Lazor meets with the media. He says the addition of Al Saunders will be a positive.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 2m2 minutes ago
Lazor on Saunders: Multiple positives with having him here. He was the OC when I got my 1st QB coaching job. Players & coaches both benefit.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1m1 minute ago
#Dolphins OC Bill Lazor says his first reaction when Philbin was fired that he felt he let him down and wish he had done more to help him.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 11s12 seconds ago
Lazor on run offense: Low number of plays has hurt us. It's about scheme, blocking & the run. Have to get better at all 3 #Dolphins.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 29s30 seconds ago
Lazor on goal line rushes: We need to get there more and run more.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 38s38 seconds ago
Lazor on Tannehill: Ryan does as much in decision making as much as any QB I've coached. And he can. He's very intelligent.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 31s31 seconds ago
Lazor basically dismissed the idea that Tannehill can't audible.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 23s23 seconds ago
Lazor on audibles: Ryan does as much in decision making as any QB I've coached. He's very intelligent. He makes changes at line of scrimmage.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero 38s39 seconds ago
Bill Lazor says Ryan Tannehill changed multiple plays at the line vs. Jets including a run play that he changed to a pass.

#Dolphins OC Bill Lazor says rookie WR DeVante Parker is further along than he's been all season.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 12s13 seconds ago
Lazor says there isn't anything DeVante Paker can't do. Has to improve in some areas, still learning pro game b/c of offseason sugery

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 2m2 minutes ago
Lazor raved about DeVante Parker's confidence aura on the practice field. Says he continues to get better.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 59s60 seconds ago
First player Lazor mentions when asked about the Tirans defense is Jurrell Casey.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 14s15 seconds ago
Lazor says last team he coached on that started 1-3, was blown out in 4th game and went 10-6 and won division. "Sky is not falling"

New #Dolphins DC Lou Anarumo addressing media

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 37s38 seconds ago
Anarumo: It's more about just the execution part, it's not a scheme change thing or anything like that.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 24s25 seconds ago
Lou on run D: Key is players executing assignments & guys knowing where they need to be.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 36s36 seconds ago
Anarumo: These are prideful guys. They see everyone is scrutinizing them, is on them.

Anarumo says it's open game for playing time. Lots of competition in practices. "Younger guys in particular have done a good job"

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 2m2 minutes ago
Anarumo on run D: There's no where to go but up. It's a committment

Lou on national misunderstanding about defensive philosophy: Guys are taught to get off the ball & attack #Dolphins

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 33s33 seconds ago
Anarumo on Titans: They're No. 1 in league in ball control... that's something we have to do a great job of getting guys off schedule

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 28s29 seconds ago
Anarumo on relationship with Suh: It's like any player. I've always prided myself on getting to know everybody on team.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 33s33 seconds ago
Lou on #Titans: Mariota is very athletic & throws the ball well. Titans are #1 in the league at controlling the ball

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 28s28 seconds ago
Anarumo says still deciding whether he'll be in booth or on field. "Still kicking around but don't want to change a lot of things"

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 2m2 minutes ago
Anarumo says "it's a good thing" that Suh has taken responsibility for team's slow start. Says he's a prideful guy.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens 22s22 seconds ago
Lou on Suh being accountable: Players of his status are prideful men. The bigger their shoulders are the better for the whole team

I used to think that the coaches being on the field would help with play calling. This year, they should've been in the booth.

Not crazy about what Anarumo said there. There's obviously a problem defensively. I hate it when coaches just say it's a matter of execution. It comes off as arrogant, if there's an issue they should be willing to examine themselves. Cause the current scheme isn't helping. You see all these creative blitz packages around the league and aggressive corner play, then you see the vanilla bull**** we puke out there every week. I'd like our DC to take a harder look at scheme. This is the problem with promoting from within. Everyone on that D was just a crony of Coyle's.

Do we believe lazor though?

no

there are zero kill calls in this o...but i tell ya what when i get home i'm going thru every snap vs the jets to see if there is any actual signs of it...he didnt really give you much meat on it...changing from a run to a pass out of the same formation isn't really the same thing either but i will look for it...that might be one of those more built in things

i don't believe him...i think he's trying to hide some stuff from scrutiny personally

i been very curious how they are going to attack us with Jurrell Casey Sunday... they move him a bit on the line as well. the way teams have been blitzing us often too, I wonder if they overload with Morgan and rush in different ways over Casey together often.

he has been having a great season so far though no doubt!!!

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 28s28 seconds ago
Dion Sims said he expects to play Sunday.

lazor says ryan does as much as decision making as any qb hes ever coached...well yeah bill you coached at uva and then with the eagles under the same type of motion id system...at uva the qbs were awful so i know they werent given much freedom...i was there every week to see it

I don't think it comes off as arrogant, but it does make it look like they completely lack any kind of competent quality control coaches.

They cannot gauge how their players match up against opposing players, or tendencies on either side of the ball.

This has been a consistent problem with the Dolphins for years.

See if you can pick any of this up Hoops but I doubt it...

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 33m33 minutes ago
Lazor: In Jets game Tannehill changed plays by words. Some would call that an audible.
