10-19 Michael Lombardi on Joe Rose - interesting comments

Ross learned a lesson the hard way and publicly... But seriously... You put all this on Ross??? You gonna hang all of it on a new owner who does not understand the politics of the game? He identified the best man for the job and he went after him hardcore... exactly like you do in business.

He depends on his football men to advise him, in this case Ireland... Jeff should have NEVER let him get on that plane... NEVER... By allowing it, he sunk the blade deep between the shoulders of his 'friend' Tony... I'm surprised those two even talk to each other... Heck maybe they don't but one thing is certain... we have a completely dysfunctional FO and Ross, like everyone else in this sorry excuse for a family, is learning on the job..

Give him this... he was NOT WRONG in who he went after or WHY... it was HOW HE DID IT... Nothing more.

Please you talk like Ross is some boob straight out of business school. He knows the politics of business and hiring Front Office people is BUSINESS. Players are different, but hiring a GM and Coach are his business and he failed in keeping these and now needs to get this next hire right or he'll be in really big trouble with his fanbase.

He has been in charge for for long enough (3 solid years) that he has to shoulder some of the blame. He is NOT innocent.

Like I've said a billion times.....you have to time your decisions. Im pretty sure Ross does not like losing millions of dollars. Not to mention, it took almost two years for the majority of business shares to transfer to Ross from Huizenga.

No doubt the product sucks and he knows that! Do you think he just wants to buy a football team for $750 million and let it tank for shi#ts and giggles?! Timing......timing......and....time. Why dont you put an offer to buy the team?

Ross couldn't sell the Dolphins right now for more than $ 400 million. It was, in hindsight, a bad investment.

Someone that owns a business and not posting from Okalla in their mom's basement.

The bottom line is, this franchise has been sinking fast & furious since he took over. Do you disagree with that ? The fanbase is abandoning the ship and that is an asset of the team. Everytime he loses another one, the value of his investment slips and makes it look more & more like an unwise investment.

It was a learning experience for our owner. He learned the hard way, and guess what, he picked a great time to do it. What better year to have the team collapse in a train wreck?

An "unwise investment" is buying a used car with a bad transmission not buying an NFL football team. You dont make a major purchase of a professional franchise unless you do your due dilligence and study every nuance associated with the purchase. Ross will not fail. His M.O. for his life has shown that.
