DAVIE – Middle linebacker Koa Misi and long snapper John Denney appeared limited during the part of Thursday’s practice media was allowed to watch. The official injury report will be released later this afternoon.

Both players were riding the stationary bike instead of doing calisthenics with the rest of the team and Misi wasn’t participating in individual drills.

Misi, who missed three games with an ankle injury he sustained in the opener against New England, has been solid since his return against Green Bay. His 17 tackles don’t totally illustrate how well he’s played against the run since his return. Misi wasn’t listed on Wednesday’s injury report and it’s unclear why he might have been limited Thursday. Misi was replaced by Jason Trusnik in the games he missed earlier this season.

Denney, who was injured in the Green Bay game and wore a brace in the Chicago game, was listed on Wednesday’s injury report with a knee ailment. He had full participation in Wednesday’s practice.

Despite Misi and Denney, the Dolphins are as healthy as they’ve been all season. Everyone was in attendance at Thursday’s practice.

Safety Jimmy Wilson and tight end Charles Clay, who didn’t participate fully in Tuesday’s practice and were limited Wednesday, were among those participating Thursday after being listed on Wednesday’s injury report.

I can't take another game with Trusnik in the middle. Misi better get healthy.

Me either. Hopefully just getting a little rest coming back from the ankle and all, at least let's hope that is all it is. We should learn a little more on the injury report update.

Maybe they let Tripp take some of Trusnik's snaps. Tripp was hurt last time Misi was out. Or maybe they kick Jenkins inside and let McCain play some LBer. After the way he covered Forte last week on the few times he got matched up, they know he can cover.

Did he even play at Linebacker last week? I dont recall seeing him in a couple weeks (he didnt have any tackles against the Bears or GB. I dont think he played in those games. Maybe on ST) .

Maybe played a drive here or there at LB. Hopefully it stays that way.

Salguero rewind of the Bears win
Jelani Jenkins and Koa Misi were the nickel LBs for most of the day, with Philip Wheeler joining them in the base. Misi couldn’t finish the game out and Jason Trusnik and Wheeler manned the nickel on the final drive

I'd like to see McCain inside - he has that 'thumper' aspect to him and is actually very technically proficient at taking on blocks and does so violently... I think there's a lot more to McCain than we know just yet - might not be this year we get to see him much, but hopefully he can be another Jenkins and take a big leap in year 2.

Trusnik was definitely playing against Chicago. I said out loud, "Oh God, why the hell is Trusnik in again?"

Misi is solid, but man we really need to draft a Mike linebacker.

Koa Misi, who missed the first four games of the season with an ankle injury, sat out Thursday's practice with the same ailment.

I have no idea what's going on with Koa Misi's ankle injury, but this is the most lingering ankle injury I've ever seen. This is week 7 now.

Considering that Koa Misi wasn't even on the injury report yesterday and completely missed today, it's possible this is a new ankle injury.

Dolphins starting CB Brent Grimes was limited for the third straight day because of a groin injury. I expect he'll play, but should he?
