10-6 / No Playoffs Not Upsetting? Then How About This?

Like you guys, should the Dolphins win out and not make the playoffs, I would not be upset and I would be very excited about next season.

But...what if the Dolphins LOSE OUT (7-9)?

Would you be upset then? I know I would!!!!

Right now, the Dolphins pretty much control their own destiny. If they win out, the odds are in their favor for a playoff berth. If they lose 1 game, they would still be in the hunt, but the odds would not be in their favor.

Losing the next three games, however...would just plain SUCK! I mean...like really bad stinky!

Anything can happen in the next three games, and I would love it if they won out.
 
thank you for reminding me why I promised myself to not look ahead and to take this one game at a time. I really need to cut down on my cholesterol and saturated fat because when you throw the phins in the mix it doesn't look good.
 
i would be upset if we won out and didn't make the playoffs... im upset any year we dont make the playoffs...

so id obviously be upset if we lose out as well...
 
I'd be fine with finishing 8-8 as well but that means the Phins would have lost to either HOU/PIT or HOU/TEN, PIT/TEN. If I had to pick a game to lose, it'd be the Titans. I don't mind them as much. Houston needs to lose to the Phins already and I hate Pittsburgh so there you go
 
If we don't make the playoffs, the higher draft pick would be better. It will really suck now, but, come draft day, it won't matter. This offseason is going to be the most important in years. The draft will be key, especially if no CBA is done.

I am all about making the playoffs first, or even better, winning the division again. But, it does the future no good to go 10 - 6 and not make the playoffs. The Fins will be no better off, or worse off, for it. The difference in picking between 10 - 15 and 20+ will be huge in this draft.

With all of that said, I will be pulling for the team to win EVERY week, but there is a silver lining if they don't.
 
if we finish 9-7 its been a hell of a year.....we have no business being in playoff discussions after everything we have gone through, and although I keep my fingers crossed, I see one more loss......turns out everyone on the other team gets paid to win games also
 
Really, 8-8 would be an INCREDIBLE year . . . hell this was 2007 all over again . . . that year we lost our starting QB (Green), RB (Brown), traded our #1 WR (Chambers), LB (Thomas), SS (Bell), FS (Hill) . . . and now this year we lose Pennington, Brown, Grove, Ferguson and Will Allen . . . . and we are over .500 . . . after starting 0-3 . . . with a QB who has never started before . . . . Sparano has done a great job keeping this team together.

Of course I WANT to make the playoffs, but if we lose but play hard . . . I can live with it. Next year is gonna be great.
 
8-8 would be okay with me...but 7-9 would stink...

Winning while rebuilding / key injuries to starters is a tough road to hoe.

Personally, I want the Finz to win whatever the obstacle, whatever the team.

Losing out (0-3) would be a weird kind of bookend for the season...and those of us who are rabid fans should mentally and spiritually prepare ourselves as these three important games left on the schedule have yet to be played.

Having said that, winning out (5-0) would be absolutely incredible and thrilling.

This is such an exciting time for our team. I really hope they persevere, play hard, and march on to victory after victory!
 
No matter what happens at this point, I think they have done a great job, just as long as they work hard and don't get blown out in any game. Keep em close and just give yourself a chance to win. I am already impressed with the overall heart of this team for not giving up and laying an egg in the end like in the past. Even if we don't make the playoffs this year I feel really good about where this team is headed and that is exciting enough for me. With the brutal schedule we had this season most people were counting us out.
 
Thank you for the last week most dolphins fans are set that we will win our next 3 games. Just to let everyone know we underdogs for all even PITT even though they have not been doing well, every game is going to depend on the last two minutes. And to add to it, all teams have less injuries and a more talent, but hopefully our toughness can beat them.

whatttt lol, I won't be here until atleast the combine workouts and hear some about who we are going to draft.

I wouldn't come near this place in January or February.

it's going to be bad enough with all the "i told you so's", "we should have signed this guy", "we should have traded for this guy", "our FO are morons for not getting this guy" anytime someone makes a play in the play-offs.
