10 Dolphins Who Could Make Pro Bowl

When you list them like that, it makes you realize that is quite a bit of talent. But for me the Pro Bowl has become nothing more than a popularity contest that in the end, requires players to be substituted because of injuries, Super Bowl, disinterest, etc. Often I hear Incognito referred to as a Pro Bowl OL and he was a last minute substitute.

Regardless how tacky the game is it should still be considered an honor when selected. Especially for all the distractions this team has had. And I'm sure a lot of them have incentives in their contracts that get them an extra bonus when selected as well so the more the merrier.

We already have one dolphin in the pro bowl.

Natalie, a 4-year veteran and 2-year captain has been selected as the MDC representative for the 2014 Pro Bowl. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, she received her Bachelors Degree from Ball State and is currently a financial coordinator. Natalie was the overwhelming favorite for the honor, voted on by her peers.

For those too lazy to read...

1.Brent Grimes
2.Cam Wake
3.Charles Clay
4.Brian Hartline
5.Olivier Vernon
6.Brandon Fields
7.Randy Starks
8.Jared Odrick
9.Ryan Tannehill
10.Mike Pouncey

Brent Grimes should get in.
Wake not so sure about because he was hurt during the season and was really quiet. He deserves it but not sure how many people even pay attention to this team outside of bully-gate (actually that might kill it for all these guys)
I can see Clay getting in just cause of fantasy football players noticing him and the numbers he put up this year.
Hartline probably not getting in, not enough TDs to increase his popularity (and that's what the pro bowl is)
Vernon may have gotten the quietest 11.5 sacks in a season ever. I don't think anyone talked about him nationally until he got his 10th sack. Don't see him getting in.
Fields...dang this dude should have been to the last two pro bowls. Robbery.
Starks...not sure he gets in this year.
Odrick...not sure he gets in either.
Tannehill...not happening. Manning and Brady at two locks no matter what kind of season they may be having. The 3rd guy could easily be Phillip Rivers who may be having the best season of his career.
Pouncey...might have been hurt by bully-gate like the rest and the subpoena to appear before a grand jury.

I think 4 or 5 guys definitely deserve to get in but the lack of popularity of the team, bully-gate and the fact that a lot of these guys are relatively unknown around the league by fans hurts them.

let's not forget the game isnt just AFC vs NFC anymore. meaning the AFC could have all the QBs or vice versa. same for every position. so while the game completely sucks I agree, being selected is an even greater honor. that means your one of the best at your position regardless of conference

John Denney is a chance as well isn't he? Regarded as the best long snapper in the game.

Despite what the Pro-bowl has become....it is still a very nice honor for those guys....

1.Brent Grimes......Yes
2.Cam Wake.........big maybe (more on reputation, if he does get in)
3.Charles Clay......doubtful, but next year, he could be in, if he continues progressing
4.Brian Hartline.....maybe as a sub if needed.
5.Olivier Vernon.....He has been our best pass-rusher this year, but don't know if many will vote for him.
6.Brandon Fields....Big Yes
7.Randy Starks.......He actually might get in
8.Jared Odrick.......He should get in before Starks.
9.Ryan Tannehill....doubtful, but the league is now very aware of him.
10.Mike Pouncey......Should be in

I expect 3 (Grimes, Fields, Pouncey) to get in, with Wake, Hartline, Starks having a chance at also slipping in.

The other 4 all are very young, and probably will see quite a few pro-bowls themselves before they are done...very exciting time.

Our Run Defense has been horrible. No one on our front seven other than Vernon deserves a vote.

Grimes, Fields, and Pouncey. I have Clay as the number 5 tight end after Graham, Vernon Davis, Jordan Cameron, and Thomas. I think Wake has a chance because of his reputation in the league and the game ending safety against Dalton.

Cam Wake is still the #2 Rated DE according to PFF, don't let the sack totals fool you, CAM deserves to be in the PRO-BoWL..

Imagine that. And we were lead to believe this team has no talent, no depth and no impact players.

Grimes hasn't allowed a touchdown pass all season to a receiver, and has cemented himself as one of the NFL's top five cornerbacks this season.

The Dolphins are also eight sacks away from tying a franchise record for sacks in a season.

Only four NFL tight ends have more yards after catch (324 yards) than Clay this season.

Hartline's His 72 receptions for 925 yards and four touchdowns ranks among the NFL's elite receivers. (#4 receiver on most TEAMS MY ARSE) SUCK THAT ****..

Starks ProFootballFocus.com has him rated the NFL's fifth best effective defensive tackle.
