Yet there are many reasons for optimism moving forward if you get past the initial sting of fourth-down defensive collapses and theworst drop your eyes have ever seen. Here are the team’s top 10 graded players — on offense and defense — per Pro Football Focus.Grades range from 1 to 100 with newcomer Isa Abdul-Quddus racking up the highest grade (86.3) at the free safety position league wide.

  1. S Isa Abdul-Quddus, 86.3
  2. S Reshad Jones, 83.9
  3. DT Ndamukong Suh, 82.5
  4. QB Ryan Tannehill, 78.0
  5. DT Jordan Phillips, 77.6
  6. C Anthony Steen, 76.4
  7. WR Jarvis Landry, 75.7
  8. LB Kiko Alonso, 75.2
  9. LT Branden Albert, 69.4
  10. RG Jermon Bushrod, 56.5
It’s not surprising to see four of the top five coming from the defense, a unit that allowed just 12 points yesterday.

Tannehill oranges, sit your ass down. He played well enough to win and if not for what should be known forever as “the drop,” they come out victorious.

Quarterback grade: Russell Wilson, 76.5

Kinda depressing and probably quite accurate that the best offensive lineman is a second year undrafted free agent making a switch to a new position.

I think that PFF's individual player grades are pretty hit or miss -- and more often miss -- but I'd say that list gels pretty well with what I saw on the field. Our safeties kicked ass and Jordan Phillips finally decided to announce his presence.

Why is it called "Tannehill oranges"?

The site has a word filter that changes the word h a t e r to "orange."

It also changes h o m e r to "aqua."

I miss the Sanchez filter.

Hopefully he stays on the lineup. Tunsil is going to be great, once he gets experience he will get his hands on DL an not miss many assigments, once he gets his hands on them he is amazing. Albert is turning slow with age and James was part of the problem when healthy last year, so no surprises. Ideal scenario would be to have Pouncey back at C then Steen in place of Bushrod, Bushrod instead of James. Then next year we land a solid LG and replace Albert with Tunsil

depending on the coach and how they eval their grades...70% is typically seen as winning football. Only having 8 players reach that mark....

PFF is slightly more accurate than the average monkey in terms of grading players so take it with a grain of salt.

Is there a better alternative to these types of analysis?
