First of all, please don't say we should have taken Quinn at #9. I had to scoop my jaw off the floor when we passed on him, too.

This thread is about the guy that is on our team.

We saw a receiver in his first year, in limited action, catch almost everything that was thrown to him. He also excelled on S/T without a lot of great blocking.

This is why we #19 won't let us down.

1) HEALTH - It may be safe to say that Ginn wasn't 100% all year, and we forget that he is going to be 100% by next season.

2) PACE - It is a FACT that receivers take longer than most positions to adjust to the game's speed. Only position I rank above is QB, and below is CB. When he was on the field, did you see him struggle?

3) SAFETY DANCE - Watch Ginn in motion, and you have an instant struggle if he catches up to the timing of this game as well as we hope and he has shown so far.

4) LINE - We had a decent run blocking team last year, and we are only getting better. Is it fair to say that Satele, like every other pro athlete, will be better than last year? You tell me. Smiley was a good signing, too. We know we will draft a starter on the line, so why wouldn't we be better with Satele + Carey + Smiley + ?

5) WILFORD / RECEIVER SIZE - Wilford never had a guy as fast / quick as Ginn opposite him in Jacksonville. Reggie Williams. Matt Jones. Big guys that are fast. They are not the same type of receiver as Ginn. The zone between the linebackers and safeties is going to be threatened ... Even more so when we draft a ...

6) TIGHT END - Expect us to draft a tight end that is just a plain, hard working, blue collar type TE in Rounds 1 - 3. The history is in the team's management structure.

7) MOTION - With Ginn always on the field as a receiver, expect us to open up the running game more, too.

8) CONFIDENCE - I think our staff has, with either voice or actions, told Ted he is the guy. He is going to be a focus of this offense, and it will invigorate him.

9) RUNNING GAME - Expect Ronnie and Ricky to run well. Come on guys. Ricky had a fluke injury. He is in too good of shape not to do ok. Say he'll be gone? Booker may be okay too with some better blocking.

10) QUARTERBACK - John Beck will only get better, and he and Ginn practice together. They have talked about it. They will get better timing, and Beck will throw the ball to him a lot.

We have seen what he can do in space, we have seen that he can catch -- why wouldn't he be a great receiver?

Not saying it won't happen, but history is against it. Most receivers don't really explode until their third year, though there are exceptions. I just don't see it happening this year with Beck (who I think will get the nod). Nothing against Beck either, just a young quarterback who needs tons of improvement all while learning a completely different offense than the one he learned his rookie season.

agree with you to a point. we still really dont know what john beck has with a healthy and revamped o-line and two proven running backs behind him to take some pressure off. ginn will be good this year, beck is still the question mark but we cant say it wont happen this year because nobody knows exactly how this year will go until it actually ends. imo beck needs to be given training camp and the preseason games to really get a jist if he knows the new offense well enough to be the guy

I think it will be that magical third year that Ted Ginn really explodes as a WR only because Ted Ginn himself is the only factor. The question marks at the QB position will hinder his development no matter how well he performs. But I look for him to make a huge impact in the return game this year.

It is going to be fun watching Beck and Ginn develop together, hopefully it happens sooner than later. I agree our special teams could be great. Anything to keep our interest in the games this year.

Booker was the highlight of our offense(the last 4-5 games)....i think he is already established himself as "okay":err:

And uhh......he isn't gonig to get better at blocking...he is only 5'9",190.....but,he is more like our own Darren Sproles(SD)....:)

I think we could have won more games if Scam Cameron would have utilized him more early on.....

As far as Ginn playing for us,of course you left out a big FACT....

hey doesn't have anyone infront of him at the positon....

Without fixing the O-line...nothing will change.

exactly.....thats why Scam Carmeron didn't go deep...which in my opinion, was smart, one of the very few times(i bolded it).yeah,if he had went deep,he would've gotton Ginn,Ronnie and even more severe....Beck possibly hurt...our O-Line was almost as hard as a pillow....
