10 Reasons Why the Dolphins actually make sense for 2012's Hard Knocks

Alot of homerism here. The fact is, Tim Tebow would have been a better story line than anything MIA has to offer this year. The QB competition between Tebow and Sanchita would have been epic to watch. The fact that where ever Tebow goes, controversy follows. The fact that Tebow ALREADY is #2 in jersey's sold this offseason, is another side fact to reinforce the notion that the NYJ would be a better soap opera to watch.

The circus in NYJ land is a ratings boon. And I would venture to say, the MIA hard knocks won't come close to the ratings Rexay and company put up a few years back. Putting to bed all the BS storylines people are pushing here. Mrs. Tannehil being used as a reason, goes to show the lack of football story line involved w/ the Phins.

Also the people using "Taco" to describe Sanchita is border line...racist. And should be treated as such. :ponder:

And "Sanchita" isn't?

I guess you aren't hispanic. Sanchita if anything is calling him a woman, sissy boy or you should get the point. But then again, maybe not.

Sad you can't tell the difference between the two. Tell me your ethnic back ground and let me call you names, and see how long I last on this website. Really goes to show the ignorance of some here.

I'll leave it alone now. You say what you must. Something like this shouldn't be up for debate anyway. Not with the BS points that have been taken from me, for far less.

#1 should have been that 27 other teams passed it on and the choice came down to jax or Miami:lol:(relax, it's all in fun).

There were reports other NFL teams had turned down offers to do "Hard Knocks." NFL Films senior coordinating producer Ross Ketover disputed those claims.

"We cast a wide net," Ketover said. "We talk to a lot of teams to gauge their interest. Some are very interested. Some are interested with caveats that are not acceptable with us. Others say we'll do it in future years. Others are not interested.

"The fact of the matter is, despite what you read, we did not offer the show to any other team but the Dolphins."

My top ten reasons why Hardknocks makes sense for the Miami Dolphins: (in no specific order)

1. Familiarity (helps increase player evaluation)

2. Identity (we will know who we are by the end)

3. Competition (at every position)

4. Swagger (aka confidence will be on full display...can't look lame on tv)

5. Ryan Tannehill (the kid will shine bright as if he were the #1 QB taken and will happily let his beautiful wife soak up all the "attention")

6. South Beach (creates buzz locally which will help morale)

7. Fans (we get better coverage than any team this off-season)

8. Hate (fuels an us against the world mentality)

9. Stephen Ross (shows the world he's starting to understand the business that is the NFL)

10. Spotlight (it's where Stars are born)

There is a stark difference between quoting someone's post and saying "you are a taco eatin' douche" and calling the QB of a rival team "taco". To the best of my knowledge no one throughout history has used the word "Taco" to generalize and degrade a large population of ethnic people.

In my eyes that is the difference between a racial slur and someone on this board calling out a person in the public eye.

I prefer Dirty Sanchez when describing him.

To each his own, that is what a opinion board is for. I just disagree with you.

I disagree with your presumption that the suffix 'ita' has anything to do with being female.
Are YOU hispanic? If so I guess you don't understand the intricacies of your own language. Sadly you seem more intent on pointing fingers than actually knowing what you're taking about.

Chiquitita
chabarrita
mamacita
mi hijita
senorita : but these have nothing to do with a female term in spanish.:idk:

Assume away.

Tannenbaum lies about everything, HBO wanted the Jets. it's well known, they would be foolish not to want them. Why would HBO not want the Jets over any team in the league? They smashed ratings records 2 years ago and now they add Tim Tebow, HBO would have done anything to get the Jets.

Talk about reaching. There's only one team in New York anybody cares about, and it isn't the Jets. the Jets weren't offered. Get over it.

colin cowherd today said the 26th choice for hbo's hard knocks the miami dolphins...ha ha...evidently the whole damn league passed before we were chosen...

figures...

Cowherd doesn't know **** about anything. The guy barely follows sports as is and if anything the Fins were his 26th choice so he decided to babble away about it. Screw Colin Cowherd and ESPN Radio.

If HBO comes out and says they didn't want the Jets I'll believe, maybe santa Claus can deliver that news on Christmas Eve?

Don't believe everything you read especially in the sports world. If any part of you thinks HBO wouldn't have prefered the Jets to any team in the league(w/ the possibly exception of den only b/c of the Manning comeback) then you have no idea what you are talking about.

Why on eart would HBO want Miami over the jets, give me one valid reason?

things may have just been a matter of things falling into place sooner than other teams, but here is the quote straight from the horses mouth. Both Tannebaum and Ketover stated there were no offers made to other teams(Jets). It is what it is.
