6. I think one of the big spots in this draft is No. 19. The Dolphins don’t have a tackle at 19 they love, and at No. 20 sits Derek Carr-smitten Arizona. Teams behind Arizona know they have to move up to at least No. 19 if they want a shot at Carr. I am sure new Miami GM Dennis Hickey is getting some calls about the pick, and if I were him, I’d sell.

I think we are in good position to trade down and still get a solid player plus an extra pick or two. Thoughts ?

This would be nice. Just as long as we stay in the 25-29 range. And what they get in additional compensation. This is my dream scenario, to fall back grab XSF, and have a luxury pick while having the ammo needed to grab another lineman in the 2nd round.

Trading up in this draft will come at a decent price. Unless your going balls to the wall for a TOP 10 pick, you trade back and get more picks to get it right.

Trade down seems like the most popular consensus on the boards here if we cant get an elite tackle.

I agree and I think its a real possibility. Especially if they are targeting Moses or James, or even Shazier.

Id be pumped if we could manage to trade back and land XSF

If we can trade back and get Shazier, plus a decent RT in the 2nd I'll be as happy as a pig in mud!

I don't know all the college players like you guys (and girls) but it seems to me lots of solid talent will fall out of the first round and having one more second day pick would be ideal for our new GM. The last thing I would do is trade up. We are not one player away.

NOLA seems to be the leading candidate for a trade partner.

Though, KC may want to leapfrog Philly for Brandin Cooks. Chiefs may only have to give a 3rd or 4th to do so.

if Mosley or Martin are not available I would love to see Miami trade down and snag an extra pick then grab XSF.

No question.

If Johnny Football isnt there at 19, we can still trade down and get McCarron later on while adding more picks in a deep draft.
