This is probably way too early to ask this , but do you guys think we will allow any 100 yard rushers this season? WE were the only team that accomplished that feat two year ago. last year everything fell to to hell and we allowed at least 8. Our front seven looks pretty darn good and we have excellent depth. Imagine these 8 guys in the box to stuff the run: Carter , Vonnie Holiday, Bowens, Chester , Seau , Thomas, Crowder/Spragan/Eddie Moore/D.Bowens/Taylor/Roth with Jones coming up. I'm excited about that! Im not sure if some of those guys could fill that last LB spot. If i recall correctly, The Fins didn't rush for 100 yards last year. I think Ronnie Brown will be able to get that week 1 against the Browns' D-line. If not then, I am confident he'll get it with our much improved o-line. Im so pumped up for next season. I can't wait till i Roth sacks somebody(I'd prefer brady losman pennington and fiedler but anyone will do) and the anouncer gets to yell TouchDown Ronnie Brown! <---- that rhymes! Thanks guys.

In Our division alone we have to face 3 really talented running backs, and the jets and pats have pretty good olines. I mean we do have a good defense, but i don't see us shutting our division down that well against the run.

*please note, allowing over 100 yards rushing doesn't mean we'd lose the game.

What was our streak before last season? Didn't we have a long streak of not allowing 100+ rushers? Or am I imagnining things?

No you are absolutely right, I know we didn't allow a 100 yard rusher during the 2003 season. And I believe that streak was kept alive going into the beginning of the 2002 season, but I could be wrong on that.

That's a pretty solid analysis, I would have to agree..

Well, like it or not the AFC east is arguebly the toughest division in football. you have to look at it like this. we play each team in our division twice, so that means we see Dillon and the (currently) super bowl champs patriots, the current rushing champ in Curtis Martin twice, and one of the hottest teams in the league at the end of the season-The bills with Willis Mcgahee. You're joking if you believe we're gonna stop them all. Luckily, the bills are starting losman, pennington will have a new offense to work out (that i think he'll struggle with) and well s***, bradys gonna be brady. what are you gonna do there. But i like our chances.

Oh, sorry. I kinda got ahead of myself and forgot about the competition. I just looked at the schedule and the fins will face these Rb Dillion, Mcgahee, Martin, , Davis, Cadillac, priest Holmes, Mccalister, Vick, Dun, Duckett, LT , jordan and Chris Brown. damn . Green and Suggs are pretty good too if my memory is right. Hopefully Saban can help the D to contain most of those guys.

off topic but don't we have sometype of 100 yard receiving streak?

Every one of those backs are pretty damn solid. No 100yard rushers on that group is quite a stretch.

Let's just not have any 200 yard rushers.

We need to have TIMBO out there, or someone (Vickerson?) has to step up and become as big a force against the run as Timbo was.

Depends, if we have timbo and chester back.. maybe not. However, with the possible use of 3-4 more often than not, I'm not sure. It might be way to early to tell.
