In the open portion of #Dolphins practice, Billy Turner & Spencer Paysinger appear to be back to work after not practicing yesterday

Billy Turner is dressed for practice after missing yesterday with a knee injury.

Would love to see Turner continue his development. Big test this weekend.

#Dolphins rookie WR DeVante Parker (foot) is practicing for the second day in a row. That's a good sign for him.

#Dolphins OC Bill Lazor on passing from the 1, says with two TEs in game he thought Bills would be expecting run & pass would surprise them

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1h1 hour ago
Lazor says guys in end zone "weren't as open as I thought they'd be" on play from 1 yard line.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1h1 hour ago
Lazor: "I have great trust in Dion Sims to make that play." Says he has second-guessed plays in the past, but not that one.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1h1 hour ago
Lazor says maybe they should've taken timeout at end of first half but they still had two shots in end zone.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1h1 hour ago
Lazor on what he brought from Eagles offense: We did a lot of the shotgun/QB decisions both to run & throw in the run game.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1h1 hour ago
Lazor: It would be hard to list all the things I brought from Coach Kelly because he had a big impression on me.

Lazor says Jay Ajayi has earned more playing time, had strong practice yesterday & has been a good student of the game

Dolphins DC Anarumo: Philly is a very good running team & they've gotten better each week. Tempo's gotten better, 3 explosive backs

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 59m59 minutes ago
Anarumo: We have our hands full this week and the guys know it. We can't have any bad plays. That's just how it is.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 58m58 minutes ago
Anarumo on Suh being held: He's a big disruptive guy, those things are going to happen. Sometimes they get called, sometimes they don't.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 56m56 minutes ago
Anarumo on Jordan Phillips snaps: He's at the right number. He's in the rotation. I think he's doing a good job.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 56m56 minutes ago
Anarumo on so many road games: "How do you get to Sun Life again?"

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 55m55 minutes ago
Anarumo: "Last time we were home what was it, 41-0 at the half? The guys feed off that building. Schedule is schedule,we can't control that"

Billy Turner (knee) returned to practice today at least on a limited basis.

Lazor's answers about the end of the first half... Wow.

MAYBE they should have taken a timeout? Maybe?! God, he needs to get the boot

Lazor's answer is what I hate about this team. Instead of competing and just ramming the ball in from the 1 regardless of whether they expect it or not, we try to avoid the contest by going for the pass, even though the risks are so much higher. Why do we have to be so insecure about our identity that we can only win with disguise and deception? Why not just be better than the other team on a play for once?

You don't want to be too predictable, but we manage to out-think even ourselves most of the time. Just man up and compete.

Lazor is surprised being stupid didn't outsmart the opponent. Interesting. No doubt chip's made an impression on him. He inherited Kelly's defining characteristic: rampant undeserved arrogance.

Lou's not remotely qualified to be DC of an NFL team, but I'm pulling for him as an absolute underdog to beat an offense which has shown it can be broken by a solid defensive scheme.

Now that Ajayi is back you have to run the ball near the goal line

Sims was open on that play...I watched it several times. He needs to make that catch. There was contact as soon as the ball arrived Sims just didn't make the play.

So now we can expect to have three 100 yard rushers against our D?

lol...I was thinking the same thing.

I missed this past game and I understand 1 of the Watkins TDs should have been holding but our D is crap. How can you give up so many points to the Bills for a 2nd time too

yeah!! whenever it is 3rd and short and I see empty back set, I lose courage. That's why the team is near last in 3rd down efficiency.

MAYBE he just didn't want to twist the knife in his head coach? Would you have preferred: "I thought calling a timeout was a no-brainer. Not my decision though"

What does a timeout have to do with the playcall? He should have ran the ball. Passing the ball near the goalline isn't a good idea ask Russell Wilson

DeVante Parker and Jay Ajayi....that is who I want to see out there. If they are healthy and able to go, we need to see what we have with them. No need saving them for later.

I really hope Lazor is just using coach speak and covering for whomever is responsible for calling timeouts. Maybe? Maybe? He cannot be that dumb.
