11 point swing by Chad

On two passes Chad cost us 11 points. The bad pass to Fasano in the endzone cost us 4 and the interception return (which was awful) cost us 7. Simple math.
 
Even Fasano will tell you he shouldnt have cut off his route. Just a miscommunication there. Even Steve Beurlien pointed it out in the booth. But, that INT was a back breaker. He shouldve Becked it and just eaten the sack.
 
Pennington let us down today, theres no doubt about that.

Different situations, different teams. Not to mention, we still have no idea what we have in Henne. In the long run we still may have the better guy.

I don't think Ryan is much of an upgrade over Henne (if at all).
I don't see any reason why Henne couldn't have the same success. The coaching staff is just easing him in.
If we hadn't gotten CP, Henne would be starting.
Let's please stop these ridiculous posts. There were many questions about Ryan prior to the draft (high number of int's).

We drafted a potential franchise left tackle who is playing very well thus far. Let's wait a little more than 6 games to anoint Matt Ryan as the next great thing since sliced bread.

We're all aware that you wanted the Dolphins to draft him...
 
Enough!! How many points did our secondary cost us? They gave up a career day to one of the worst rated QB's in the league and dropped MULTIPLE INT's. How many points did our utter lack of any running game cost us? Ronnie outrushed Chad 27 yards to 25. How many points did our recievers cost us? Camarillo dropped a TD, Fasano cut off his route. How many points did our special teams cost us? It seemed like we started every drive deep in our own end - Bess is awful. Chad's pick was bad, but he was under pressure and was trying to make something happen. Get off your soapbox, Chad is one of the few really good players on this team.
 
Pennington did fine despite that ugly looking pick 6. But he was obviously under durress and didn't see the defender, he was trying to make something happen. Please don't turn into Jets fans. I know you're a bunch that loves to blame to QB.

If Camarillo makes that endzone grab, which was a great pass, Pennington looks a lot better.

Also, how about the OL catches some heat. Real nice pass protection, and even better run blocking.

Gotta credit your consistency! What bothers me about watching Ryan with the Falcons is his mental make up. Never seems to get flustered. Everyone worried about his arm but it looks above average to me. I think the hardest part for NFL QB is the mental side. League has seen 100's of lazer arm QB's fail miserably. But early on, this guy appears to have the goods.

Hope Henne shows something close in the near future or we'll obviously regret passing on him. Thankfully, Jake has shown he appears to also have something special so at least we look to have filled the 2nd most important spot on offense.
 
Love him, hate him...what ever. Pennington's arm is a major concern. It is deflating our running game period. Yes, we have other glarring issues, but stop making excuses for Penny's noodle arm. We haven't picked up a 3rd and 10 or longer all year. That is pathetic. He was short hopping passes all day when we needed them. I don't care about a high completion percentage, when the incompletions come at important times. It's like having a Yugo on the Autobahn, it may eventually get there with good gas milage but it's has a good chance of breaking down on the way.

but i can blame him for missing throws, and not attempting others.

The defense sucks, we know. But we expect more from pennington and less from the D. So its worse when Pennington fails.
