Brian Hartline is dressed for today's walk-through after injuring his knee Monday.

Cortland Finnegan (ankle) is out here stretching. It's a walk through so there's no guarantee he's got the greenlight.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 2m2 minutes ago
Hartline is at #Dolphins practice stretching. It's only a walk through today but we will get an injury report later.

Center Samson Satele is here and working. Looks like the rib injury is fine

Nate Garner, who missed Monday's game with an illness, is not present during the portion open to the media.

Cortland Finnegan and Jamar Taylor are also here but again it's only stretching, walk-through #Dolphins

Nate Garner is not in attendance. He's been battling an illness for the past two weeks.

Charles Clay is participating in today's walk through

Wonder what's up with Garner?

Jamar Taylor and Jonathan Freeny are working with trainers early in practice.

It appears Jamar Taylor (shoulder) and Jonathan Freeny (hamstring) are not working.

Finnegan, who has missed the past three games with an ankle injury, appears to be practicing.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1m1 minute ago
Jamar Taylor and Jonathan Freeney are here but not participating, even in the walk-thru. Finnegan is doing some drills.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 1m1 minute ago
Brian Hartline is also doing some drills. Very basic stuff for #Dolphins today no helmets or pads.

After looking at Ravens remaining schedule it really is more crucial for #Dolphins to win this game than Pats.

Mono? It can take months to recover from that.

Richie probably thinks he has AIDS.

Maybe didn't think of that one!

Its pretty weird in the modern era for an athlete to get sidelined by illness for two weeks. It probably helps that Gardner just isn't that important.
Antibiotics and IV fluids can cover up a lot of issues.

The one other thought is he has something highly contagious and dastardly to treat like a skin MRSA infection. Then they would be keeping him away as a quarantine issue.

The Dolphins are working today in preparation for Sunday's playoff elimination bowl against the Baltimore Ravens. (Yeah, when the loser of the game basically stabs the heart of its playoff chances with a sharp knife, I can call the game a playoff elimination bowl).

Anyway, the big news first: Cornerback Cortland Finnegan, who tried practicing early last week but shut it down later in the week, is trying to practice today but as this is only a walk-thru one should recognize he would be limited in a regular practice. He has missed three games with an ankle injury.

Finnegan's status for the Baltimore game Sunday remains uncertain. A source told me today it is most likely Finnegan will be 100 percent by the Dec. 14 game versus New England. That doesn't mean he won't be trying to be ready by this Sunday it just means there is more certainty about the New England game.

Cornerback Jamar Taylor is not practicing today as he continues to treat the shoulder injury he sustained against Denver. Nate Garner, who missed last week's game with an illness, also is not practicing today.

Linebacker Jonathan Freeny, who has missed two games with a hamstring injury, also is not practicing today.

Receiver Brian Hartline is working despite the bruised knee he suffered against the New York Jets on Monday night. Hartline may be limited some in practice this week but is expected to be available.

Tight end Charles Clay, who has missed two games mostly because of a hamstring injury, is workin today as well.

It seems odd to me he is absent so long with no other info., let's hope it's nothing really serious. Maybe they can't release info. unless he does it on his one...

i'm gonna be upset at this staff if they just try and get by with rj stanford this week and think that will work...like really upset...

I'm actually really interested about Clay. It's been a bit obvious the knee injury has hampered his play a bit this season, so I think finally shutting him down for 2 games might have helped right what was wrong. If he can come back and be as consistent as he was last year, along with Sims, that could be a huge swing in the right direction for the offense.

Big difference from last season where it looked like the "fight" for that last spot would come down to whoever was the least crappy.

Man I hope Finnegan is good to go soon. I wish we had an idea on Taylor too...

Would help a lot if Torrey Smith is out

Miami needs to split one of their next two. That is the reality.

Baltimore game is more important.

I agree, the ravens game is a must win, then we can afford to lose to the pats. If we lose to the ravens the NE game then becomes the must win. We go 7-7 and it will be time to start talking about the NFL draft.

The ravens game gives us so many advantages in the WC tiebreaker system that it is much more important than the NE game.
