14 things to know about philbin

I was very impressed reading his transcript of his press conference. He seems like he is prepared for the job and he also seems like a human being. I believe this is the turning point back to respectability and greatness, plus he isn't an exCowboy.
It's even a million times better(presser)when you WATCH it.....(miamidolphins.com) I really am excited about Philbin and his plans/vision.I "NEVER" left our Fins' side for even one second.Nice to have positive things happening....I AM A FIN4LIFE!!!

I thought Philbin was a refreshing change! He did not sound like Pauly Walnuts like Tony Sparano so often did. Articulate, intelligent, and clear, no mumble jumble.

I am happy with the hiring of Philbin. He has impressed me greatly over the last week or so. I just hope this is finally the coach to make things right! hoping for Flynn now. :)

13. The drowning death of Michael, 21, obviously had a deep effect on Philbin and his family. After the Packers lost to the Giants last Sunday, Philbin was in a funk and didn’t know how he should go after the Dolphins job. His son Tim, 16, gave him clarity. “He looked at me and said, ‘You better go after that job. Your son Michael would want you to go after that job.’ That was the start of me getting back and getting moving again.”
