that draft sure did suck...... becker just can't play, i havent given up on ginn yet but he hasnt lived up to his selection, satele the best pick of the bunch so far is solid, mauia is on his way out, fields solid pick, and the rest is a poo poo platter...... mueller and cameron picked players the cam wanted for his offense and its kinda scary to think if these two got another year to draft how far back we would of gone.

Yep, the whole thing started when we didn't pick Brady Quinn. If you really think about it, we could have Patrick Willis and or Sydney Rice as well. Personally i was hoping that Laron Landry was going to fall past the Redskins but knowing our team they would not have picked them.

I wasn't so high on Brady, but I wanted Willis so bad. When they announced Ginn I wanted to cry. Ginn may not be a complete bust, but he will never live up to a #9 overall pick. Since we drafted him and his family, maybe we can get one of them to play wide-out.

I must have missed something. Has Brady Quinn done something in the NFL other than play against scrubs or warmed up a bench?

You cant say it sucked. The jury is still out on ginn, fields, and solia. satele was a great draft pick. Beck, well he has potential and can be very good, but it might not be with the dolphins. But i will admit this, in that year, i really wanted the dolphins to pick Amoby Akoye, Patrick Willis, or Adrian Peterson. And sure enough, they go on other teams, and dominate the NFL.

He and Beck are running a pretty tight race.

Not true at all, Beck has looked bad in practice, Quinn good. Beck has seen alot more playing time in the regualr season and has looked awful. Quinn has looked ok inlimited action. Anyone who thinks the Ginn pick was smart, is delusional.

How many starters do you expect to get from the draft? Currently Miami grabbed 3 current starters (Satele, Ginn, and Fields) with 2 possible starters (Solai and Beck) and one player that could have been a decent contributer in Cam's system (Booker). So, 30 percent of the players drafted by Cam and Randy are starters. Bill Polian, who is widely considered one of the best GMs around largely due to his drafting prowess, averages 11.3% of his picks becoming starters. Polian also mentioned in an article I read, sorry I can't find the quote, that a successful draft would net 2 to 3 starters. Hate Cam and Randy for what you will, but second guessing their draft strategy is somewhat frutiless.

Keep in mind that a bunch of other teams passed on Brady. He hasn't seen the field, so we really don't know how good he is. How many players have looked good in practice only to fall flat on their face with the lights come on? As of yet Brady has not proved to be a good or bad draft pick, just one that made the team.

Yes, hindsight is 20/20 and if you had to do the draft all over again Adrian Peterson would be the first pick in the draft, but to say the Dolphins' draft sucked is down right stupid.

Can someone help the OP with his bridge because he really need to build it fast so he can get over it.

Cameron's wanted a different type of player than whay Parcells/Ireland wants. It's unfortunate because some good players, or those with potential, have to be released/traded but that's the way it is.

Horrible draft. What a bunch of frauds Randy-Cam where.

good points and all, but you also have to consider production in the whole scheme. Satele and fields are really the only ones that produce. Punters are interchangeable so that's not really that big of a deal. Ginn hasn't produced yet at WR and i think this team will be a lot better this year if he can do it. John Beck's days in miami are numbered. if ginn can produce maybe ill take my statement back about those two.
