This randomly popped up on my youtube feed, thought it was cool to see what a Dolphins playbook looked like in the teams debut season:

Guy who sold it said his dad was a flanker that was drafted by the fins.

(feel free to mute the audio, but they got valued at $400)

That sucks. Now somebody will know our offense, because I believe we still run the same scheme. Maybe this will force us to update the offense some and we can start running some of the 1980's offenses.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.

The first fins draft class was:

Round Pick Player Position College
1 0 Rick Norton QB Kentucky
1 0 Jim Grabowski RB Illinois
2 0 Frank Emanuel LB Tennessee
3 0 Larry Gagner OG Florida
4 0 Dick Leftridge RB West Virginia
5 0 Grady Bolton OT Mississippi State
6 0 Ed Weisacosky LB Miami
7 0 Don Hansen LB Illinois
8 0 Bob Petrella DB Tennessee
9 0 Bill Matan DE Kansas State
10 0 Pat Killorin C Syracuse
11 0 Sammy Price RB Illinois
12 0 Howard Twilley WR Tulsa
13 0 Kent Kramer TE Minnesota
14 0 Phil Scoggin P Texas A&M
15 0 Jerry Oliver OT Texas State
16 0 Don Lorenz DE Stephen F. Austin
17 0 Mike Bender OG Arkansas
18 0 Rick Kestner E Kentucky
19 0 Doug Moreau TE Louisiana State
20 0 John Tooker DB Adams State

I guess it belonged to one of those guys

Actually no, it said he was drafted from SMU and went on to play for the Raiders, which must have made it John Roderick - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Roderick_(American_football)

Roderick played three seasons in the American Football League, playing two with the Miami Dolphins and one with the Oakland Raiders. Previously, he had been drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 1966 NFL Draft and by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the Redshirt phase of the 1966 AFL Draft.

I looked into it mainly to find out what the hell a flanker (which is still a rugby position) was.

So there you go, if anyone wants John Roderick's playbook from the fins debut season you might be able to buy it in Vegas for around $400....
