“All of our feedback has shown that our fans prefer night games early in the season and afternoon games later in the year,” said Miami Dolphins Chief Executive Officer Mike Dee. “We were able to get two home prime-time games in September and October this season that were well-received by our fans, and we are working with the league to secure early season prime time games again next year. While we would have liked the national exposure by playing the Patriots on Sunday night, we know our fans will enjoy attending the 1:00 game in what should be ideal weather conditions.”

I think this guy is off his rocker.. We all love prime time games!!!

Spinnnnnnnn as in a like a bad joke not being funny? I'm still pizzed and this guy trying to sugar coat the crap aint gonna make me feel better

Nothing compares to the excitement of watching your team playing under the lights and knowing they are being watched across the entire nation..

lol riiiiiiiiiight

Well that's why we got him I suppose.

its bulls*** anyway he tries to spin in hopefully we stay on a roll and some of late season games get flexed to make up for this crap

Makes some sense, but you could make the same case for other parts of the country. Up north, Winter Nights are unbearable. So, its either early night games or no night games or people will freeze to death(not like the NFL cares). Here, early in the season, day games are unbearable and people get heat strokes(again, not like the NFL cares). But still, this was announced as a SNF game. People bought airplane tickets according to that, planned whole days around that, and with less than 2 weeks to go, they tell us this. Unclassy move. Especially considering that these are 2 teams fighting for playoff spots.

I am going to the game and while it would be great to be at night I just realized something. Ricky hates the spotlight so maybe this will ease his mind a little knowing the entire country will not be staring at him the whole time. Run Ricky Run!

The best shot I see for that happening is the Houston game if we are both still fighting for a spot in week 16. The game they have scheduled now is Dallas-Washington and that could be a stinker outside of the fact they love putting the Cowboys on prime time. Baltimore - Pittsburgh is also that week but I have a feeling CBS will protect that one. Besides that there aren't any good match ups week 16.

i figured it would be the opposite. i think the opposing teams should have to play in the 1pm heat early in the season just like we have to play cold games every year.

and also pittsburgh baltimore is the game this week on sunday night, so i doubt they would put the same game on 2 times in the same season. also do u think its possible they would flex the our game vs the jags. that can be a huge matchup, and i no the giants eagles is slated for then, but hey if our game can be flexed then anything can.

The reason for this is obviously the weather. August heat sucks. Florida Winter during the day is awesome though.
