I was curious, and would like to ask all of you this question. We all have our own opinions, and many of them are different.....So......

"What do you think is the main cause for our team going down the toilet so quickly???...."

Here's my take :

We were just coming off a HUGE win at home against the Panthers. The defense was really looking strong at home, and I have to say the defense was the main reason we beat both Denver / Carolina...

The BYE WEEK busted our bubble. Since then, we've gone 1-5. What the **** happened???....

I think these guys simply became complacent during that week off. They lost something, and can't seem to find it anywhere. The penalties were the first sign of complacency, and that continued for a couple of weeks, costing us a couple of losses in the process....

Today, although the penalties have been minimized, our offense can't seem find a spark. Ridiculous. We have two of the best RB's in the AFC Conference, and we can't even get them going....

Our defense is also giving up more and more big plays. The run defense has been non-existant the last few weeks, and we already know how weak our secondary is. When you have QB's like C. Simms / K. Holcomb / and B. Bollinger picking you apart, you've got serious issues...

In all reality, this team hasn't improved since starting 2-1. It's gotten progressively worse since then. Whatever Saban was preaching back in week 3, is obvioulsy no longer working. The players seem to have no fight / sense of urgency anymore. They were playing with an attitude when the season started, and that attitude is now gone. It's time to get it back, and starting Sage could give them the spark they need.....

PHINZ RULE!!!

what happened is there became 3 games worth of tapes for other teams to study.

i dont know how you beat denver
the jets were good back then. no real injuries.
Carolina is a good team
Bye Week
penalties and turnovers cost you in buffalo
Tampa is a good team
K. City is a good team
N.O. sucked when you played them, so you should have won that one (and you did win that one)
Atlanta is a good team
New England is New England. you were in it, but blew it late.

with the exception of denver you lost to the good teams and beat the bad teams. sounds like an average football team to me.

They only choose to play well in parts of the game. Not the entire game.

Hey stop making sense of things. I can't handle the truth.

Said perfectly. We are a .500 or less team right now. We will win some, and lose some, and ride a collercoaster for the year, that is how it will be for the next 7 games.

how about throwing it 40 to 45 times a game ,when we should be running it that many.are two best players are running backs, can we please give them the ball.watch what happens this week ,we will dummy up for sage and only throw 25 times-and we will pound the browns.

No commitment to the run during crucial moments of those games is what cost us. Soon a losing mentality will be born out of frustration if Saban doesn't figure this thing out. It would be good to have some sort of winning streak toward the end of the year.

It's really quite simple. It isn't the offensive line, which has been quite impressive all season long. It isn't the running game, which took a few games to get going but has been stellar since then. In fact, both the offensive line and the running game have been consistent. Every game, it has been something different.

Buffalo: Turnovers. Left some points on the field, but turnovers killed that game. Didn't run the ball enough.

Tampa: Very good team. We weren't really out of it until the defense collapsed on Pittman's big play and Gus fumbled a minute later. The play calling was pretty bad also.

Kansas City: Good team. Gus played poorly, and left points on the field. We didn't run the ball enough. KC's running game let them dominate the game.

Atlanta: Gus had another bad game, leaving points on the field. Didn't run the ball enough. Late turnover iced it. Defense did pretty well. Vick was uncharacteristically accurate.

New England: Chambers left points on the field. Didn't run the ball enough.

See any patterns?
