#2 Best Offseason Move!

You act like it was 20 years ago. Last year the AFC East was the best division and for the most part it has been the best every year(w/ the exception of '03 where Buf and NYJ both went 6-10) since the mid 90s.

After last year it sure feels like 20 years ago. :D

I feel your pain, unfortunately I know what 4-12 seasons are about. The division should be better(at least more competitive) as NE should come back a little and Miami should be better so the 4 teams will be alot closer.

I just wont be happy with the hiring of Saban till I see the results.

I felt the same way about Mularkey too. Its hard to tell if a coaching change was a good thing or a bad thing till a few seasons pass.

With all the mess that Jimmy and Wanny left in Miami...believe me...the hiring of Saban was a blessing.

Yes, you are correct...you can't really tell how the team will respond and how they play until the season begins...but what I can tell so far is...Saban demands and gets alot of respect around the league and from his players that is positive. I really felt that the Dolphins had a great draft...awesome...on paper. I think all these players will make the team (4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks) and be here for the long run.

Believe me...not seeing Wanny on the side lines with that dumb look on his face is just one reason why...the hiring of Saban was an excellent move!!!

Go Fins!!!

-Why is Linehan so great? Maybe b/c he had Randy Moss? Much like Daunte Culpepper Linehan is overrated b/c of Randy Moss. In big games the Viking offense was non existant.

thanks to nate burleson and jermaine wiggins from my fantasy team last year, i second that.. :D

Yeah, everybody bashes him when he writes something negative about the Phins, or he writes something positive about a division rival, but as soon as he posts something positive it seems that most people who have labeled him uninformed, or a Bills homer, forget that as soon as he writes something positive about Miami.

Read carefully in this column and recent other Prisco "gems" and you will see that he still calls Miami a mess, knocks the Ronnie Brown pick and generally takes his shots at the Dolphins every chance he gets.

The Jaguars, however, are his sacred cow. They can do no wrong and deserve his constant praise.

I'd have a tiny bit of respect for Lil Petey if he could admit he's been wrong as King and Pasquerelli seem to have no problem doing.

I thought he was a jets fan.

I thought I had read that a while back but even if he is he has been extremely harsh w/ the Jets the last few years.

I'd be harsh with them too they just picked a kicker in the second round.:shakeno:

You'd be harsh w/ a legit SB contender? A team that was a kick away from the AFC Title game and appeared to have solved their kicking problems? ok.

No offence, but Saban's resume is just a little bit more impressive than Mularkey. Of course our opinions of Saban shouldn't get too high until we see the product on the field, but the attitude he's instilled and the moves he's made deserves a lot of excitment from Dolphin fans. It just feels better than it has in a while.

That would be very awesome. I have always thought(since the realignment) that the playoffs should be increased to 7 teams per conference and have only one team get a bye week. While this would have been bad last year because of the NFC, it would help in almost every other year. Miami deserved to go to the playoffs in 2003 at 10-6, and it would allow other good teams to get the recognition they deserve. Also, in my playoff format it would be possible to see every AFC East team in the playoffs. :D

I agree the AFC deserves 1 more playoff team, it is a very tough conference. I don't agree that that 10-6 team deserved to be in the playoffs neither did the 9-7 team before it. They did NOT take care of business against the upper echelon teams those years. And I'm tired of seeing the fins just make the playoffs only to be blown out of them. If we play our best and lose so be it, but if we can't be competitive in the playoffs I'd rather they stay their A$$e$ home!

Im a Bills fan but above all Im a football fan. I would love to see the Phins have some success and help the Pats, Bills, and Jets prove that the AFC East is THE conference of the NFL. Can you imagine what the playoff race would be like if all four teams were above five hundred? Yikes.

i think everyone already knows we are the best division, anyone who disagrees is either blind or very stupid.
and its quite the opposite for the worst division:
NFC west, what a pile of sh*t!
even we went 2-2 in the games we had against them! and the other 2 were lucky last minute comebacks.
