2 Days in April; Draft documentary: Derek Hagan

Not sure if this has been posted but I watched "Two Days in April" over the weekend and it was pretty interesting. It follows four college football players as they prepare for the draft and Derek Hagan was one of the players.

In January, after his senior season, he was predicted to be a possible top ten pick! Everyone thought he was a steal in the third round but I guess not.

Anyway, check it out if you get a chance.

I ordered it on Netflix...

pretty funny at the end because one guy doen't get drafted and his teamate tells the Dolphins to "kiss his a**!" because they said they would take him and didn't

I believe he had a tryout for the Bucs but I don't think they signed him (in the documentary, they show him interviewing with Tampa prior to the draft which is also kind of funny)

Did'nt turn out to be the best choice of players: Clint Ingram (LB Oklahoma), Travis Wilson (WR Oklahoma), Derek Hagan(WR Arizona State), and DonTrell Moore(RB New Mexico)

I don't know about a "steal" but he did look like a good 3rd round choice fersure. This is a rare case where I actually don't fault Satan for the pick - you really need a Ouija Board to predict the difference between a Ryan and Tim Couch/ Heath Shuler, or a Calvin Johnson vs a Mike Williams/Charles Rogers. I'd rather guess wrong in the 3rd round than in the 1st. On paper, this kid had all the ingredients for success. It's a shame.
