Now that we went over who DET will be likely picking at #1, we can move on to the STL RAMS.

The facts point to DET selecting QB Matthew Stafford #1. So that allows STL RAMS to do what they wanted to do last season, but we robbed Jake Long from them....selecting a LT.

I don't even think that we need to spend that much time debating who STL will be selecting. That name is the 6'6" 315 LB, LT Eugene Monroe.

He rates higher, according to Mike Mayock than Andre Smith because of SMith's 6'4" height will likely make him a LG or RT, although he could still be a short LT.

And even besides the fact that Monroe is idea LT height "and" weight...he also is dominating in every aspect and has a higher floor than Smith or any other LT. And is considered the safest LT to select and Mayock's #1 rated LT in the draft.

So in determining what pick MIA will select, we can eliminate QB Matthew Stafford and LT Eugene Monroe from the list with them being taken #1 and #2.

Next....the #3 pick, KC CHIEFS...

Monroe to the Lions, Oher to the Rams.

So you don't feel DET needs a QB like Matthew Stafford? Do you feel that Stafford is just not a franchise QB? Or do you feel that Monroe is just "that" good a prospect? Thanks for the response.

The Rams will most like select Smith or Monroe, but I wouldn't be surprised if they select Sanchez. I'm not really sure why some haven't considered Sanchez to the Rams, especially since they have a new coach. I doubt they pick Jenkins, being that their secondary is not as bad as some think.

Yeah, after taking a DE/LB last year and watching their QB get sacked a lot, the Rams likely will have to bolster their OL. A top level OT would be te smart move for them.

Realistically, I think that the Lions need a franchise QB. But what good will he be if no one can protect him? Monroe or Smith would be a great asset to their O line, and with a bit of luck, help there current QB's do a bit more that run around like headless chooks.

Stafford is a franchise QB, but only if the front line is protecting him. Lions will pick Stafford, that I don't really doubt, but I wouldn't.
