Funny how 2 ex fins QB's are battling each other for the back up role to Marc Bulger and the man who's gonna decide is an ex fin coach.

Trent Green is the backup quarterback for the Rams, for now. But it sounds like Brock Berlin is making a case to move up the ladder. Green played one series with the first team offensive line last weekend and completed one of three passes for 16 yeards. Berlin came in and completed 11 of 13 passes for 139 yeards. "I thought Brock was real solid," Rams coach Scott Linehan told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "He did some good things, he got a nice drive to get us a touchdown and a nice two-minute drive to get us another three. "He put 10 points on the board when he was in there, and that's the job of a quarterback."

more like it would suck for the morons who didn't wait for brock to grow into being a decent qb.

they're both garbage. green had a nice run b4 he came here. just our luck

Isn't that the norm around here, results now or run them out of town?

I always liked Berlin when he played on the Canes. He wasn't always the greatest player out there, but he had a ton of heart.

I hope he beats out oatmeal brains in STL.

I thought Brock Berlin was going to be to a joke when he came to the Dolphins but he suprised me in the pre season. Maybe it is becuase of all the losers I have seen play after Marino but I thought he looked alright in the little bit of work he got with the Dolphins in pre season. I think Berlin might have a shot in the NFL:unsure: Trent Green is a concussion waiting to happen. Though Trent did some good things with the Dolphins. If you take away the Dallas game he wasn't all that bad compared to the rest of THEM that we have seen come and go.

Good for Brock. In this case, I don't buy that we mis-evaluated him at that point in time. I suspect he's worked on his game to a competitive point better reflecting on the record-breaking high school QB he was, than the underachieving Hurricanes starter and Fins potential back-up. As a Canes fan, I wish him well but unlike Huard, possibly Sage and perhaps a sprinkling of others, I have no regrets about letting him walk.

Our luck had nothing to do with it. It was a dumb move to bring him in, especially at the price of a draft pick. And anyone who thought he was gonna do anything significant was reaching. He had a good stretch from 2002-2005, but he was surrounded by Pro Bowl talent and had a hell of a line to block for him. Then he had his concussion. What could we expect from a 37-year old QB coming of a severe concussion that knocked him out for something like a month or two, and did not play for half the season?

i agree. i thought it was an awful signing. sure proved that way too

I thought the idea of bringing Green in was terrible at the time, considering what we gave up to get him. Between that little fiasco and the draft, I knew Cameron was in over his head.

There is no way Trent Green gets cut from the Rams. With Marc Bulger's injury history, you cannot depend on Brock Berlin and Bruce Gradkowski.
