FB Lousaka Polite.

He ws the best blocking fullback we have had since Rob Konrad.

Also, how many of his runs went for first downs this season? He had at least 3 in the playoff game alone.

RB Patrick Cobbs.

The R and R show got most of the media hype, however, without Cobbs, I don't think we would have made the playoffs. He contributed several big plays in games this year and established himself as a receiving threat out of the backfield.

When the Dolphins traded Lorenzo Booker last April, I was shocked and thought they had made a big mistake. Booker had almost 30 catches in like half a season of duty. He was quick, shifty, had good hands, and could make defenders miss. He would have been the perfect change of pace back to Ronnie and Ricky. I wondered how the fish were going to replace that.

Cobbs more than replaced with his RB play alone. Then, he gave us a bonus with his special teams play.

The question is, are these guys free agents? If they are, I think resigning them should be a priority, especially Cobbs.

cobbs earned himself a contract this season 3 years.. and polite will work for one in camp

If Polite is the best blocking fullback we've had since Konrad, then that might be a reason the running game lacked consistency.

Konrad wasn't that good of a lead blocker, IMO.

That or our O-Line sucked beyond belief in the running game

And I'd like to see Cobbs rotate with Ricky as the 2nd back, I think Cobbs just changes the pace so much when he's in, whereas you aren't really getting much of a different back when Ricky is in for Ronnie

Cobbs is our version of Kevin Faulk, plain and simple. He has quickly become one of my favorite guys on the team, we need to keep him around for as long as possible.

They're both nice players, but, they are hardly any more key than, say...Ronnie Brown who will have to prove he can carry the load for a full season.....And I mean more of the load than this year.

I think Brown had quite the load this season. He shared some of Penny's load as well.

COBBS is the best rb on this team.

i hope the trifecta realizes this soon and isnt falling
for any of the ronnie brown HYPE!

WE NEED A BONAFIDE tailback, ala ricky in 2003, a guy
who can line up behind ANY line and run through the
opositions defense.

we dont have that guy right now.

but the ricky and ronnie show is a DUD and we need to
move on from all that.

Ronnie Brown is the best back on the team. What he needs is a Lorenzo Neal blocking fullback up front, as well as better blocking from the O line, and Miami will be in business.

Considering he came back from a busted knee & gained nearly 1000 yards, I am more than happy with what he did.

Cobbs is solid, and I think he may in the end make Ricky trade bait. I liked what Cobbs did in the 1st quarter, but we really need consistancy from the running game in general, and thats where a Neal type fullback is essential.

We have have four good backs. Let's move on.

I felt the exact same way that you did about Lorenzo Booker, but Patrick Cobbs has made me completely change my opinion. The only thing that still sucks about it is that we used the pick to get Murphy at guard.

i hope we keep polite even if we have to just for the short yardage downs beacuse the kid just gets it done. I hope next year if we run the ball 30 times a game ronnie gets 18-20 and give ricky the rest.

I find Cobbs like most have said is a kevin faulk type of back who i dont really want to see run that much but would not mind screen plays for him.

In the words of Bryan Cox. "He could'nt block his way out of a paper bag!"
