*I done see many FA's coming here unless we overpay for them on account of our 1-15 record. But I'd really like miami to look for an OG or C in FA before the draft. If C then move Satele to OG.

I hate mocks that involve trades, until the trade happens, you should assume it won't.

Agreed with Stitches on the trade scenario...

But, I like this MUCH more than your first draft.

BTW: My opinion. Antoine Cason is going to be nothing more than a steady nickel back and a nice returner....and his stock has absolutely plummeted. He is VERY small

If Cromartie goes that late, which I don't think he will now, I'd rather grab him first. Then the best OT and/or DT with our next two picks. Otherwise not to bad although I have serious doubts either one of those trades will happen.

Jeez... I don't mind the trade scenarios...
if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen,

I like the cason pick. although, I may go with DRC, after the combine... if we took DRC, than I would target gosder cherilous at 33. I think talib, is the top corner right now though. May have to reach a bit though.

after watching senior bowl week, I have to wonder if trevor laws would fit anywhere on the roster. not sure he's a bonafide NT, but he was an animal in that game. I'm certain I wasn't the only one impressed.

sure would like to land marcus spears somehow.

do have to wonder though, if we wouldn't try to land matt flynn in the later rounds, if we don't address it sooner.

looks like you hit most of the major need areas though. good job

Don't know much about your TE selection. have to tell me more about him. I am going to keep an eye on kellen davis from MSU.
I like his size, just want to see his measurables at the combine.

Bennett is a stud at TE. Huge target over the middle.

As of now I think Jenkins, McKelvin, and DRC are all ahead of Talib. This class is extremely deep at CB though and alot of these guys are almost interchangeable.

Martellus Bennett, Texas A&M
Height: 6-7. Weight: 248.
40 Time: 4.72.

projedted as 2nd best but would fit our team better than fred davis (#1). he is a good blocker, something we lack, nd a good reciever. also played basketbaall in college...most TE's do.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8AAgF6i9ukE
not the best footage but he has some great qualities and moves

Of course I'm feeling the TE pick ;-)

But for some reason, which I can't seem to figure out right now, I'm not really liking the Sims pick. With these trades, if Talib is on the board with our #2 1st, then I'd like to see us take him. The talent level between him and Cason is very, very noticable IMO. We could then look to a guy like Frank Okam (Texas) or Red Bryant (A&M) in the 2nd. But that just might be my Big 12 homerism coming out.

I also think Trevor Laws is far to high up on this draft board. Heart and a good motor translate well in college but the kid is very small for the position he played in college and not fast enough to be a NFL DE.

pat sims is much better than the guys you listed. for some reason everyone is underrating cason. cason is a great CB. We are gonna need to get a NT that weighs around 316 or more and pat simsis by FAR the best out of the guys you named. by far, i love that pick. jeff otah and sims are my favorite picks and should have HUGE impacts on our team

Yes yes and yes...very nice analysis bro:up:
I also would rather have either Red Bryant or Okam..

Why you say Sims is far better than Bryant and Okam? I disagree whole-heartedly..

Cason is TINY..he is gonna have a VERY tough time with the size of the recievers in the NFL bro...

BTW: I am in Tucson and have seen Cason up close and personal:up:

- Red Bryant is listed at 6-5, 322lbs.
- Frank Okam is listed at 6-5, 320lbs.

- Sims is listed at 6-4, 315lbs.

So I guess i'm not really seeing the point in your arguement as both Bryant and Okam are bigger.

The talent level better Bryant or Okam and Sims isn't near as much as the difference between Cason and Talib, and I'm only slightly figuring in that Cason is just barely hitting 6'0" and 185. I don't doubt his talent but NFL receivers are much faster, bigger and stronger than college. And if you look at a team like Jacksonville or even Detroit, many teams are looking for taller receivers now.

i didnt say that they werent good. i didnt say they were bigger. i ust siad sims is a beast and would be a better guy to take. he is really strong and fast and has the ability to get to the QB. 6-5 is kind of tall for a NT. i know that 1 inch smaller isnt gonna be the factor that gets him taken over them byut its more ideal that 6-5. it has something to doo with there leverage.
id rather solidify our D-line and O-line this year and our secondary would look better. and i think everyone is underrating cason
