2005 NFL Draft

Yes. Jury is still out on Booker and Boston.

Yes jury is still out on them, but just look at our line and other problems. I beleive I other problems way outway are wide reciever situation.

Naw, they'll f-up and draft a LB'r AGAIN!

I say the meanest, nastiest o-lineman out there. We will already have three pro-bowl caliber WR's and a pro-bowl caliber TE. O-Line for me please. And NO! I'm not throing in the towel on this year... I'm just answering the question!!!

GO PHINS 2004!!!!

Gotta address the line in the draft. Whether its selecting the top lineman with our #1 pic overall that we're sure to have or trading it for upgrades.

Well I am just being realistic. This team is a joke right now and there is no quick fix that is going to help. I think RS already screwed up by trading away picks for Booker and Gordon that could have been used next year.

UMM they have played two games . yea . u need to start using ur head

Just my opinion. I don't think it's a very outrageous opinion either.

Derrick Johnson is the best player in this draft. I wouldn't say draft a qb unless Vince Young declares from Texas, this guy is 6'5 225 has a cannon and had like 900 yds rushing last season while not even starting all year. Mike Munoz is the best oline prospect IMO. RB has to be Benson if we're going in the 1st rd, but a guy who has impressed me is Cedric Houston. If Ricky want's to play next season we trade him for no less than a 1st rd pick in next years draft also. Ive been more impressed with Ronnie Brown than Cadillac Williams, Brown is bigger but still has 4.3 speed, I believe Williams is only like 205 lbs. It's tough for this team to justify taking a QB though, a 1st and a 2nd rd pick in next years draft...I don't know theres 14 games left while I don't think we're gonna be in the playoffs I think we could still win 7 or 8 games so we might be picking around 10-12

Yeah I'm not really sold on Young's passing ability, to me he is a poor mans Mike Vick. Defintiely wouldn't mind having Munoz though he is a beast.

Top 2 areas of improvement.

1a)LT is a MAJOR concern right now.If Mac doesnt pan out we need to address this 1st and foremost.
1b)DT age has just about caught up to Miami and its time to turn to DT.There was a bunch last year and we missed out.

It should be no suprise this will be tops on the list.

Ya it would be nice to get one of the studs off the Hurricanes d-line like Orien Harris or Santonio Thomas.

Well, I think we should start stock pilling for our future the weak spots we have now. QB, RB, OL, D-Line and a freaking KR. Our D will only stay together another year or so before injuries will creep up, or cap issues or performance drops. So, get ready for that with draft picks. We should get rid of Sage if he really sucks, and get a better vet backup QB. A few RBs would not hurt and especially get young studs to mold on the OL. Problem is, we traded a lot of picks away. Maybe we should trade some players to get some picks?

Agreed. I say we should get rid of a couple of our older defensive players who only have a couple years left. It would seem crazy now but we could probably pick up some real nice draft picks and start to rebuild from the ground up.

We got a 3rd rounder and Booker for Ogunleye. We used that pick on Gordon. Essentially, we traded Ogunleye for Booker and Gordon. Still not a bad trade given the circumstances.

is darren sproles coming out this year? i like ryan moats from louisiana tech if hes coming out. also, since we need to win now, i say we either take the best olineman, or trade back for more picks.

How often is Miami going to get a top pick. IF we do end up in the top 5 I think QB would be a GREAT investment. This would be our only chance to get a top tier QB.
