For the 2006 DL, are Larry Chester and Tim Bowens DONE? I know that Chester was released last year; but he IS a HUGE run stopper that should be able to play NT. Also, it has been said that Tim Bowens wants to play again. Does any one know if that has changed?

Is it better to move on with the likes of our rookies (e.g. Wright & Vickerson) than to try and have them learn from either Chester or Bowens?

Do any of you believe that Saban would invite Chester or Bowens to camp even for Evaluation purposes? Does anybody believe that ither one of them has anything left?

If not what do you believe we should do for our DL in 2006? Are there any FA's that you believe Saban should target? What about the draft?

Go Phins! :rawk: :dolphins: :happydrin

Chester may have a chance to play again... i dont know if it will be for us though.

I dont think Bowens or Chester will return. I dont think it's impossible, but Tim Bowens is how old now? He's played 2 games in the last two seasons. His injury was so bad, Bowens apparently thought about retiring between '04 and '05, and prior to this season. Bowens was never one to let injuries stop him, either. There was a decade stretch where he only missed five games. His doctor told him to sit out '05, and see how he felt.

Chester is the same deal. 2 starts in the last 2 seasons. He said he thought he would be ready for season opener this year, but that obviously wasnt the case.

I cant imagine if they wanted to play again, that Saban would ignore them. In both cases it was stated that Saban would like the guys back if they could play and wanted to come back.

It would be cool if Chester was back in camp, cheap, to see if he has come back from his injuries, he was a hell of a player before he got hurt.
